Exceeded expectations!
I use a lot of different types of pens and highlighters on a day to day basis, mainly in creating my daily to-do/agenda. My work is nearly entirely computer based so I like to have fun with the limited pen and paper action I do get. During college, I discovered bullet journals, Japanese pens/stationary, and zebra mildliner highlighters. I quickly moved away from the typical college ruled, spiral bound notebooks that are available pretty much anywhere. College ruled spiral notebooks were problematic as nearly all my colored marker pens and highlighters would bleed right through the paper, rendering the back side of the sheet useless. I found some Kokuyo campus soft ring bullet lined notebooks that I love and have repurchased many times over the years, however, these only come in sheet counts ranging from 50 to 80 sheets. The Kokuyo journals are perfect for note taking in meetings and general scratch paper use but not so much when using one to two pages daily. Enter these little journals! They are the perfect GSM thickness, not too stiff and not too flimsy. I have had zero bleedthrough even with my inkiest and darkest pens/markers/highlighters which almost never happens unless I’m using quality paper like in the Kokuyo journals or journals marked for bullet journal use (Doodle planner by AmandaRachLee etc). They are also the perfect size; not too big, not to small. The elastic is a nice touch which helps keep the journal shut so the pages don’t get scrunched up on accident like in a purse or laptop bag. These are wonderful journals and I’m shocked at the value given how nice they are, I will continue to purchase and strongly recommend them to any fellow stationary enthusiasts like me!

Awesome notebooks
Great size- paper is thick and perforations tear nicely. I love writing on blank pages so this is perfect!

Bought multiple times
I love these notebooks so much I have bought them on more than one occasion. I use these for work and love the thicker, sturdy paper. Ink does not show though the pages. These are good sturdy notebooks from the covers to the paper. They have a great feel quality and are super cute as well. I will be buying these again and again!

Classic notebook
These notebooks are awesome for bullet journaling. The dotted layout offers flexibility for both writing and drawing, and the spiral binding makes it easy to flip through pages. The paper quality is decent, and the set of three is a good value. There is bleeding but I didn’t expect anything spectacular with this paper weight.

Still using them. CANNOT use stencils. Do not use sharpie pens
Added two comments after 6 months use.Edit 1 - I am still using them! So I am raising the review from 2** to 3.5 ****. Although I am still bummed that I can't use my stencils, I have made my piece with temporary sloppiness.Edit 2 - Do not plan to use Sharpie permanent ultra fine pins! See my test results at the bottom of the review.Pluses+ Bargain price+ Thick paper for drawing and sketching+ Plastic cover is goodMinuses- most definitely not a 5 mm Journal. Look at the contrast with the real thing in the second photograph- do not use this if you want to use stencils to make your bullet journaling go more quickly, as I do. They won't line up and will drive you crazy. If you are more of a Jackson Pollock type, and enjoy throwing paint on the wall to see if it sticks, this may be a good notebook because it has nice thick pages. The plastic covers are good too.But if you are more of a Buckminister Fuller, precise thinking, engineer type, this might be a infuriating choice. It is advertised as a 5 mm dotted grid, but as you can see from the photographs is very not. And if you're an exacting type you will know that if people are slip shot in one area of quality control they may be in others. (Grumble)To show you why you don't want to use Sharpie pens on these notebooks, I have added two photos so you can see why not. My calendar using sharpies had major bleed through and ruined the page on the back. A test of TUL Ultra Fine pens (Porous-Point Pens, 0.4 mm) turned out nicely. See test at the bottom of the page and the back of the next page - no bleed through).

My favorite!
My absolute favorite books to use as DIY planners or "bullet journal". B5 size is my favorite for my lined journals too, I think it's such a great portable yet spacious size

Pretty nice
Used these for school. They're exactly how they're described. The absolute most annoying thing about them is how the backing can get undone if the metal clip things aren't secured; I'm constantly pushing them back together. The paper doesn't tear super easily- I have to crease it forwards and backwards to make a clean quick tear (which isn't that big of an issue tbh). It's pretty thick paper- I write with fountain pen and marker and nothing bleeds through. They're absolutely fantastic for note taking- especially Cornell notes and making graphs for my Calculus class. The little string thing didn't get stretched out for me in any of the three I used. When I finished all the pages in the blue one it was sort of stretchier but barely. The string was kind of annoying- I had to keep moving the notebook so it wasn't behind the other sheets of paper to make my handwriting crooked. Overall, great product, arrived timely, packaged safely, works fine.
