works perfectly inside! outside it sometimes gets confused by bright reflections and dims when it doesn’t need to, but that doesn’t really matter because you can just flip up the dimmer to see. also, I was a little worried about the strap but it sits just fine.

I already have a full face auto-darkening welding helmet. I have to put the batteries in before use because I don’t use it all the time and don’t want to batteries to leak inside it.I was a little skeptical on these googles. I have used them several times and they work great. Especially for the quick jobs. I love that they are solar powered!

I understand that these are very much cheap. and I really didn't have high expectations for them. I just needed to weld underneath my car on jack stands and didn't feel like having a full helmet on. so I got these. they didn't auto darken. and when they finally did darken they were definitely not a shade ten.

Nice set of adjustable darkening welding goggles. I though I read in the project description that they would light up to a shade 4. This is not the case, only shades 8 to 12. I used them on a quick MIG welding job. Not for extended welding time with sunburn problems not being a full face shield. If you are gas welding these will be to dark.

I saw ckuethe's review on these goggles, but I bought them anyway. He was correct, the auto darkening on these welding goggles were flashing on and off so frequently that I could not see what I was welding on. On the upside, I might be able to use them at the next DEVO party. If they have another one.
