It worked!
The product worked as advertised. What more can you want? I can wash clothes again and people around me are happy! On the installation I did not have any tools to put the spring clamp back on. My solution was using a shoestring. I looped a shoestring thru the right side of the spring's hook. Then I started replacing the clamp at the left side of the spring and going up the left side and staring back down until I could not get anymore of the clamp on. Grabbing the shoestring I pulled it horizontally until I was able to finish seating the clamp with my other hand. Once the clamp was in place, I pulled the shoestring out. I was thinking of trying it again to see if it worked again, didn't want to press my luck!
