I’m impressed with this tripod. It’s light enough to take on a long walk without being cumbersome but it’s still sturdy enough. You can’t add too much weight like lights but if you’re filming outside and need to be mobile and able to get the tripod up quickly then I would recommend. Good value for money. I’m always happy with SmallRig kit and this is no exception.

I gave it five stars for the price. I bought this to replace my ageing Manfrotto travel tripod. While these small lightweight tripods are very good at lightening the load on a day out they aren't the most stable especially at full height. I choose to live with the minor shortcomings as the upside of portability more than makes up for them for me. I have used it a couple of times with my Sony mirrorless a7 and it went well, I have yet to see how it goes with my Nikon D800. I like the functionality and I am happy with the purchase as it was made with my expectations at least met and for the price I think it’s well worth your consideration.

I bought this mainly for the monopod feature. It's very versatile both as tripod and monopod.The ball head feels very secure and the build quality throughout is very good.It took me a while to figure out how to convert from tripod to monopod — it's not obvious. Unscrew the center column base to release the center column, then unscrew the leg with the grip. Then combine to form the monopod.

I own a professional heavy-duty tripod to mount my professional video cameras on but now I'm using smaller cameras a lot more to make videos such as my iPhone and DJI Osmo Pocket 3. So I needed something lighter and more transportable than my old heavy tripod. This Smallrig camera tripod is perfect for me now and so light-weight to transport yet stable and strong enough to mount my new cameras on.

This tripod was bought after a fair bit of research when I was looking for a decent tripod that would do me on holiday. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good it was, especially as it was a very good price. It handles really well, all the legs easily slide in and out without any sticking or difficulty, the locks also work amazingly well, no legs slip on this tripod. It even comes with spare spukes which are really handy when you need a bit more stability. The ball head works a treat and locks precisely when you need it to. All in all I think I picked a cracking tripod for my holidays although since getting it, I love it and never go out without it. My big heavy tripod is consigned to a cupboard for the foreseeable future, this tripod is light weight and very robust, I just love it 😀

Works as it should, although the foot grips fall off easy and I've lost one now while on a job. So now need to use without the grips.

Great quality and love the flexibility, can think of lots of different shot options now with the really low and high options this allows, very rugged
