Could this hold cards? Collectible cards like Magic the Gahtering for example.

I don't have a definite answer because I never collected Magic the Gathering cards. That being said, the encapsulated coin cases are 2.5" by 3.25" and 5/16th wide. Your card sleeves are probably thinner. The cut-out foam is exact in separation. If I was a collector, I would probably have to put more than one card in a slot. As a collector, I would not do that. The one I received is one of the one's that has smaller slots. My slatted coins fit but definitely tighter than the coin boxes that I have ordered from the US Mint. Besides being harder to slide coins in it is very hard to pull them out. Knowing what I know now I do not believe that I would purchase this item.
