I have a 23 yr old daughter with a rare form of Epilepsy that occurs on the X chromosome CDKL5. It is called CDD for CDKL5 DELEATION DISORDER. She has daily seizures, non verbal but understands. Keeping weight on is very difficult so her dietitian from one of the prestigious medical universities recommended Ensure EnLive due to the increase of protein and an added muscle protein. She gets 2 drinks a day by mouth and more if she has had alot of seizures. She loves the taste and it seems to be helping. Insurance does not pay but so far Amazon has best price on monthly subscription.

My granddaughter recommended that I use the "button" to order these for my dad. I wasn't always able to get to the grocery store to pick them up when needed. Easy peasy!As for the product, my elderly father loves these for his breakfast (along with a banana). He calls them his chocolate shakes. I think that the extra protein is good for him as his diet can be a little hit or miss.

I suffer from Hyperemesis Gravidarum and spent several months of my pregnancy incredibly dehydrated and malnourished, unable to keep down any and all foods. When we finally found a nausea med that would allow me to keep things down, I drank one of these every night before bed (when I was the least likely to throw it right back up) to help get my strength up and stop losing weight so rapidly (I was losing about 3 pounds a week). If you can eat real, nutritious foods, I'm sure that would be better for you... but if you can't, and you really need to keep on weight and get renourished, these will do it!!They are only drinkable if they're ice cold -- once it starts to warm up, it almost tastes like hay. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone who is very ill and needs to slow weight/muscle loss. They're not incredibly tasty, but they're incredibly helpful.

I'm so glad I found this on Amazon Fresh. My local drug stores(Rite Aid, Duane Reade, etc.don't seem to be stocking the "Enlive" on their shelves anymore. I hope it's not being discontinued. I like the HMB muscle formula. I drink it before and after my workouts. The Enlive milk chocolate and vanilla flavors are delicious!

Ensure Alive has been a necessary part of the diet of close friend undergoing cancer chemo treatments. She only likes strawberry flavor. Unfortunately the strawberry flavor is hard to find in the usual grocery store or is carried in very limited supply. The availability of ensure alive strawberry at a reasonable price on Amazon is "just what the doctor ordered" and prompt delivery has guaranteed a reliable planning tool.
