Because the instructions were wrong!! We had to download two more differing sets of instructions to assemble it securely and thankfully my husband being an engineer could fathom them! You shouldn’t have to have a degree in engineering to assemble a cot! That said, when all together and secured it is beautiful!

Really happy with this purchase. It is made of good quality wood which has a nice smell. It was pretty easy to assemble and it's a robust construction. We bought it for our 4 month old son but it's big and strong enough for him to sleep there for a few years.

Very happy with this for the price I paid. Looking at it you wouldn’t guess it wasn’t a much more expensive cot bed, although if you scrutinise it there is the odd imperfection in the paint work, example as per the photo. These really aren’t noticeable though unless you go looking for them. I haven’t used it yet so can’t say how long lasting it will be but currently it feels sturdy - although I certainly wouldn’t feel confident to sit on it myself!It was really easy to put up, it took me about 10 minutes on my own. It smells fine, just like wood - I didn’t notice any strong paint smell like other reviews mentioned.Worth noting is the height of this cot bed. It is shorter than a lot of others I have looked at. The overall height does not even reach my hips and the attached photo is on the highest mattress setting, which is about 43cm floor to slats (so slightly higher with a mattress on there). I personally quite enjoy this - makes it easier to reach over the sides whilst maintaining a straight back plus it looks less imposing in the room. But is certainly worth noting.If you are looking for a nice ‘expensive’ looking cot that won’t break the bank this is a very good option.

Baby girl loves a big crib and this one is perfect! Looks great and fits in the room well! It was very simple to assemble just need an Allan key and 1 hour max!

Very nice and good size but the wood isnt very thick so it's easy to break

For 200 squids the wood isn't very good quality it split at the base pm step 2 and some other parts where already split. The QR code doesn't have instructions that work and the return system is very particular, for example "no signs of assembly" and because of the size of the package unless you have a large car you must pay 35 squids to arrange for someone to pick it up for you ontop of the 200 you spent on the cot itself, over all not very good quality and hubby is fuming.
