These are plastic coated steel, and very sturdy. My application required that I open the hook up a bit to secure it to my project. The coating did not crack off.From what I see, I expect these hooks to last a long time.

I decided to make my own bungee cords. These hooks work great. If I need more I will buy again.

This is exactly what I wanted. to be able to create my own bungie cords for my need. I replaced the old cords on my rv wheel covers and made them very simple. The only problem, I ordered 100 ft of cord, now I have a lot left over

I am using these as the bottom ends of beaded plant hangers that I make. The hook end attaches under the lip of the plant pot. They are working well for that use. They aren't exactly what I wanted but are an excellent product. And they are exactly as advertised.

Even though I was skeptical at first, I drove around with a mattress fastened to the top of my car with these for 40 mins! Did not snap or break! Highly recommend!
