Exactly what I wanted for years!
I spend a lot of time driving in my car. And since I get between multiple states I just couldn't rely on conventional radio: once you find a decent radio station you already pass the town and need to start looking for a new station. So, when time came by and Internet radio stations came available among with reliable cell phone/internet reception, I immediately switched to Tune-in radio app in my phone. But then I got a problem: how to connect/pair/attach my phone to my car speakers? Over last 13 years I tried everything: wired, wireless, RF FM connections and adapters. Physical connection via headphone jack wouldn't work due to interference noise. Same with RF FM modulators. Eventually I came to conclusion that Bluetooth was the ideal way to listen radio in my car. However, I also needed a separate way of hands-free way of talking over the phone. Separated BT headset fixed that problem - none of the other hands-free car stereos would work - it was too noisy in my car to carry any reliable way of holding conversation while driving. You see how picky I am when it comes to my car radio! So, here's what I was looking for a car stereo:- Decent powerful 4 channel amplifier- Bluetooth connection to play only media streams, but not phone calls- MAIN REQUIREMENT: not to shine as a Christmas Tree!!!And that was a problem. All other car stereos had so many super bright LED lights on them, that it became too destructive for me to drive on a road. I don't need blinking multiple lights in my car radio. I don't need to my volume knob to shine as the brightest rainbow. When I drive I need to concentrate on driving and on the road - not on a stereo. In my mind if something blinks or shines in my car - it takes my attention away from the road. And unless there's an emergency, I don't need to see the display of my radio.Unfortunately that was the only car stereo/radios available. I spend years searching for stereo that doesn't shine as a Christmas tree and have bluetooth function. More bright lights, more shiny blinking things - yes. Plain and simple radio - no. I found one model from Sony (RSXGS9 Hi-Res Audio Media Receiver), but it cost $1600 - which was too spensive! Finally I found this Pyle Hydra. Hura!!!! That was exactly what I wanted: no light at all, BT connection and 4 channel amp. I installed it and couldn't be happier - I simply love it!Pros:- BT connection for media streaming only- 4 ch powerful amp- quite decent sound quality- Does NOT shine as Christmas Tree!!!!!Cons:- Volume controller works effectively only on first 1/4 turn - the rest of the positioning doesn't adjust the volume much. On the first 1/4 turn it goes to about 90 percent of max volume and the rest half circle gradually increases to 100 percent. Not the best of a scale to control the volume- The volume knob could be glowing a little bit. Not much. Maybe painted with light-reflective pain? Definitely NOT by LED light. I would love if it would slightly glow in the dark, so I wouldn't miss it when I need to adjust the volume.Overall I simply love this device. And yes, I certainly would recommend it to others.

Low quality and glitchy performance
The quality of the sound that came out was far below that of my prior unit. Previously, the audio had a broad range and clear, clean sound with absolutely no noise. This system came across with high static and narrow frequency bandwidth. The range was distinctly shorter. The install was relatively easy and I completed it with soldered and heat-shrink sealed connections. The first setup and few tests worked and it connected to bluetooth, but the audio level . After a couple uses the bluetooth seemed to have a hard time keeping the connection active and while it would show on my other devices it would not allow connecting. Now it no longer appears on the other devices and just keeps attempting to connect, not accepting the RCA inputs. When it did work, adjusting the input gain did not appear to work and resulted in low adjustment capabilities for the bluetooth. Using the volume dial showed that there was only about 1/4-1/2 turn adjustment available. It went from no sound all the way down, immediately to about 1/4 volume with a very slight turn, all the way to full volume with no more gain beyond 1/2 turn. The rest of the dial movement did absolutely nothing.

Great deal, great price
Upgrading the stereo system in my boat and after a great deal of shopping and comparing units I decided to go with Pyle. This is a name that I’ve enjoyed many times over the years for providing a really great music listening experience. Was really happy to find a 4 channel Bluetooth compatible amp that is made for marine applications. This is a compact unit with a real nice punch. I paired mine with a Pyle marine receiver, I am very happy. Don’t hesitate!

Sounds great, but does not do what the instructions say.
This works well, but according to the instructions, if you turn it all the way down, it should turn off. I installed this on my golf cart and ended up with a dead battery. During installation, I looked for a switched power and couldn't find one. Since it said it would shut off if turned all the way down (even though there is no "click"), I assumed I would be okay. That wasn't the case.

Super Impressive Product
I needed am amp with Bluetooth to power 4 smaller RV speakers after the stereo that came with it died. I couldn’t be happier. This thing pushes some serious power, was super easy to install, and just plain works effortlessly! No special setup steps. Easy to connect to multiple devices. Impressive. Buy it. You won’t be disappointed…..
