This is the Best Cellphone Holder for Map Use That I Have Found
I've tried numerous cellphone holders, but they've all had their flaws. The "cup holder" interfered with the gear shift lever and you had to take your eyes off the road to look at it. The suction cup holders always fell off at the worst possible time. I was okay with the weighted sandbag type of holder, but it fell off occasionally if I braked hard.I only use my phone for map functions on trips or when we go to estate sales. I don't leave the holder hanging from the mirror all the time. Using it a couple of times a week, I am very impressed with it. I could see where it could pull your mirror off if you're not careful with it.We have no extra features on our mirrors in both of our SUVs so there were no fitting issues. I have recommended this gadget to several of our friends.

Great phone holder for the Car!
Love this phone holder. I had one previously that was clunky to use and did not last long. This one operates smoothly. Just click to take the phone out. The "arms" stay open, so you don't have to click again to put it back in, which leads to less wear and tear on the holder. Very easy to install, adjust and move around. Not clunky at all! Liked it so much that I bought one for my son.

Breaks eventually, good value.
I got this phone mount in June 2023 and after daily use it finally broke this week (March 2025). This phone holder holds securely onto your rear view mirror. Because it's made out of plastic it is a little chunky, and if you have a newer car with a really thick rear view mirror it may have an issue holding on securely.I did have some minor gripes with it, mostly to do with durability and construction. The plastic arms that hold onto the phone mount are made out of fairly thin plastic. The mechanism that holds the arms in place also used a plastic ball socket for the phone holder itself, and the other joint (side to side movement) used plastic teeth to hold itself in place. Because of the all plastic construction, the parts eventually started getting loose and would rattle while driving. The shaking and rattling did cause the arm to fall off a couple times, and eventually the arm did break in half due to all the stresses from shaking. All that said though, for ~$15 this was a good deal for how long it did last. My next phone mount is going to be a similar one, although I am going to look for something made out of metal for durability.

perfect grip!
Perfect! All others gave me issues since my RX does not have a skinny pole but his works perfect with a tight grip on the mirror and smooth button release.

So in love!
I love it! It doesn't block any of my mirror or view out of the windshield. Very sturdy. Solid design, no sticky stuff from pads on your dash. it looks bulky when you get it out of the box, but once installed, it is great. My 15 yr old installed it, it was very easy

Good for some cars, not for others
Pros, it is solidly built and does what it was designed to do (in the right car)Con, if your rear view mirror is glued to the windshield like mine is, the weight of the phone and the vibration while driving will detach the rear view mirror. For me it happened in 4 days. I'm not blaming the product. I should have thought about this. If your mirror is directly attached to the frame, this is great, but if your mirror is attached to windshield, stay away. In my case the car's range finder is part of the mirror and windshield and now I have to replace windshield.

Great for new drivers
Son just got his car. He loves this attaches to the rear view mirror. It doesn’t get in his way and supports his phone.

Not quite what I hoped for
I wanted to love this because I was excited about having a phone stand that worked on my rearview mirror. The problem is, I can never adjust the upper part for it to hold well enough on the rearview mirror. As a result, it frequently tilts, and perhaps my phone is too heavy, because it pulls down my rearview mirror now. I think it’s a combination of my phone being too heavy and a slight design flaw on the part of the manufacturer. The four prongs that hold on to your visor should be adjustable so that you can tighten them when you need to.Edit: when the vendor read my review, the vendor was kind enough to issue me a full refund because the item didn’t quite suit me. Since I didn’t even ask for that, I was very impressed with that customer service, and I am therefore upping the number of stars
