Fowler 52-500-075-0, On-Mark Optical Center Punch, 9X Acrylic Lens

The quality is great. Much more precise than lining a traditional center punch up by hand. I don't use it for everything, but when I want to make a precise center punch from scribe lines or by laying a 1:1 scale paper print directly on my workpiece, I sure am glad to have this.

Having never used a tool like this, I was skeptical. Looking at the photo did not make it clear whether or not it would meet my needsFirst time I used it, it became clear..GREAT toolThe lens part really works well at directing ambient light down to the surface. The lens magnifies the target, even for an old dude with bad eyes. Once the target is located, replace the lens with the punch, and punch an accurate point

One of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time.This is a gotta have if your getting older and can’t see as well as you used to like me and love to fabricate. can’t go wrong!!!

Accuracy of this tool.

Tool is unusable, lens insert at the crosshair side was turned so roughly and leave all turning marks after polishing. The lens is cloudy and the image is all in small waves, there is no optical sharpness, it's really hard to see what is going on under the base. I tried to contact Fowler customer support, no answer. Return. Also photos of a product 6 years old, no more lens with "dot in circle" only crosshair.

Its accurate

Great product but not made in USA anymore and it didn't get any cheaper. I don't know how companies are getting away with keeping the same high price but sourcing products from Taiwan and China; that's the case with this item. I expected better from Fowler, next time I'll buy the one that's $50 cheaper that my coworker has because it's identical. Would be 5 stars if USA made.
