Osee outperformed themselves with this one
PROS:- Brightness: It's noticeably brighter than the standard model, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.- Color Calibration: The built-in color calibration is extremely handy and ensures that the reference image from the camera remains perfect, especially on larger budget sets.- Convenience: The carry case is incredibly convenient and well thought through.- Upgrades: They've upgraded the cheese plate and the baby pin receiver, adding to its overall functionality and ease of use.CONS:- Joystick: The joystick on the front feels a bit fragile. I 3D printed a solution to reinforce it. While it hasn't broken, you can hear it clicking if pressed against the front, so I decided to be cautious.Overall, this monitor deserves a solid 5/5 stars. The minor issue with the joystick isn't enough to deduct a star from an otherwise excellent product. Highly recommended!

Good size, great color and clarity, bright enough to use outdoors on a sunny day
Overall very happy with this monitor. I've had it for a few weeks and used it on several shoots so far, it delivers what I need from an AC or director's monitor. It's the perfect size for 1-4 people to sit around and see, it's simple to use, and the brightness is plenty adequate for viewing outdoors on a sunny day. The case has a built-in sun hood which is pretty cool, but I use a separate Nanuk case so I can keep the monitor built with the Teradek and everything attached to it. The case that it comes with holds the monitor and accessories just fine but can feel like a hassle to get the monitor in and out if you prefer to use it without the sun hood. Having both SDI and HDMI input options is nice. The buttons on the front aren't very clicky but they work fine. Power consumption is reasonable, one 300wh vmount gets the monitor + Teradek Bolt receiver through an entire 12hr day. I do appreciate the long power cord that it comes with for wall power. The vmount plate doesn't have the smoothest click, but I've had no issues with it and I don't expect all the parts to be super refined at this price. My monitor has been handled by many hands already and nothing has broken or fallen off yet, so durability seems good so far. At the $800 price that I bought this for, it's a great deal and I'd recommend buying one if you need a monitor of this size.

Excellent production monitor for the price.
I bought this as part of my equipment package for productions with modest budgets-- short films, music videos, educational videos, etc. For me, it's meant to serve as a monitor for an AC (pulling focus) and/or a director or client. It's been used on one outdoor shoot, one 8-day narrative shoot at a variety of locations, and some equipment testing. I have not calibrated it or tried to use it for post-production work.I'm very happy with it, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it for any shoot where a high-end monitor isn't being rented. The image is very good-- natural, but sharp enough for critical focus (a problem I've had with some other low cost production monitors). The included case is great-- it doesn't add much bulk, but allows the monitor to be quickly protected if you're moving around a lot, and the ability to fold the case into a hood is very useful, since very few monitors can be used outside without hoods. And the brightness is plenty for most situations. (I've worked with the previous 15" monitor from Osee, and it just wasn't bright enough, even indoors.) Finally, it's a good value, with a low initial cost and an included stand mount, cheese plate, and battery plate, which can cost hundreds of dollars extra for other pro monitors. The biggest drawback is the wonky control interface, which just isn't intuitive. You get better after practicing with it, but the organization isn't clear to me, the icons are vague, and I tend to press the wrong button a lot. Other than that, the stand mount isn't very good, and I wish it were easy to remove the hood flaps when you don't need them-- but they're both basically thrown in for free, so I can't complain. The one other thing I'd say is that I wish Amazon or another supplier carried the plastic screen protector in the US; right now, you need to pay a large shipping fee to have it sent from China, so it adds something like 20% to the cost of your monitor. (I emailed Osee, and they said that they're working on this.)If you're in the market for a solid production monitor, and you don't want to jump to the SmallHD offerings-- which cost more than three times as much!--, give this one a serious look.

Great big monitor that will impress clients and give you confidence
I bought this monitor because I needed something that allowed me to do a few things:- Have a clear reference monitor- Monitor for client/video village- Quick to setup and breakdown- Give confidence to the clientsI previously had a Lilliput A12 but it was cumbersome to setup and did not include many accessories. What I love about the Megamon 15 is that its case doubles as a hood and it's quick to set up with attachment points for video transmitters. I feel like when you provide a great monitor like this and make the client feel taken care of, that is huge bonus points as a filmmaker.
