We bought these bones about fifteen years ago and now I've been looking for them and was not able to find them. I've almost given up hope that they're still on the market. We finally found them yesterday. Since then we only have one small left and after a long time of gnawing on it, our two 50lb Labrador/German shepherd puppies are arguing over it. Even though they have other rubber and plastic toys that are supposed to help their teeth and gums, these two have taken a liking to this small size nylon bone and literally fought over it. The are aggressively protecting it like it would be real bone. I can't wait for the new two durable nylon bones to arrive. This is a great option for tough chewers, although if your dogs are anything like ours, there is a procedure to ANY new toy no matter how "tough". If I gave them this Nylabone and they went unsupervised day one, they would wreck it and it'd be in the trash within the hour. I say this to tell you, if you have a top 10 bite strength aggressive chewer, that you shouldn't expect a miracle.If instead, I give it, take it away when they are working it too hard or being particularly destructive, and then give it back- and do this a few times for a week or so, then they'll chew it in a less aggressive fashion- they'll enjoy it and it lasts a long time. I don't know what it is about the first few days, but when something is "new" it has to be destroyed.When it's been in the house a few days, they are rough but not as bad. Like the ones listed "virtually indestructible" will last 6 months as long as we have multiple around. It will show damage, there will be shrapnel in the carpet that will scratch up your feet, but it'll be worthy of play still. I consider 6 months in our house worthy of 5 stars.This has been true for 2 Dobermans and a German Shepherd- and all of them have proven ability to destroy these products day 1 if I don't behave appropriately on introducing the new toy. If your dog wrecks these in the first 10 minutes, I'd say you probably need to work on supervising new toy play, and taking it away when they become to aggressive. This is a training issue, it can be done!

Use for large dogs . durable, Large and heavy. I have 4 year old Dobie.

My dog pit/Shepard mix, loves this bone, and I love it because she can't kill this one like all those other Kong toys. She had a smaller nylabone, she killed it but took about a year, this larger one, she won't be able too that soon. Hard expensive Kong things, wouldn't last a couple months with her.

This actually held up pretty well for our power chewer, maybe lasted a month before he started ripping off the green part then we threw out.It’s hard to find toys my dog doesn’t immediately tear up so I was happy with this! Love the price as well!

I have Staffords and Nylabones are a must-have in my home. This Dura-Chew, is by far My Marla's favorite. She has had hers since she was about 5 months old. One day it was lost and I spent ten days searching my yard and house for it, with Marla! She has had it for 5 years now and carries it daily and it is her pacifier - if someone is in trouble Mar grabs the bone. So it was lost which is why I bought a new one and now I have two as we found the 1st one right after receiving the second one. the bad puppy we had had been digging it into a hole. Its nice to have two now in case of emergency!The bone weighs a lot, so be careful. I have hardwood floors and its dropped daily as well. Loud. Thud. She has brought it to bed but never dropped it on me. Though my friends have had it banged into their shins and dropped on their feet.BUT it is indestructible. And my favorite bone!

My dog loves these, we used to get him one size smaller. But after a month or so he would have the end knuckle chewed open trying to get at the inside. This one here he chews on it all day and hasn't put a dent in it. Great dog bone.

The dogs love it but this chew does not last as long as their PowerChew Dura Chews. So, while I do recommend this chew because it is different and the dogs really do love it, I also have to watch after they chew through the end so they do not start pulling the green off in pieces and swallowing it, this can take 3 - 4 months for small pieces to happen at this size so it's still worth it to purchase for your pets. I also have 4 dogs, of various sizes, that chew on it, they all like it. I get the X-Large size for my pug, although she is the smallest dog I own, she is also the most aggressive chewer although my Shar Pei mix has more strength and tries to pulverize his toys.
