Fantastic optic
This is my 4th Monstrum optic, and I'm as happy with this one as I have been with all the others. I went with a smaller prism due to astigmatism making my red dot look like an amoeba, plus I like the idea of the etched reticle always being available in case of battery failure. I'm also a fan of the circle dot reticle for CQB, so this optic checks almost all of my boxes. I'd love if this had a shake n wake capability, but that's my only real complaint. I'd also like it a bit smaller, but I won't complain because its relatively large size (for a micro prism) compared to some other manufacturers has its benefits as stated later. This is mounted on a CZ Scorpion carbine in a bullpup kit. So, it needs decent hight over bore. This mount does that perfectly. It has extremely generous eye relief for a prism, with a max of 6-6.5 inches. The eye box is fantastic, as is the field of view. The large size allows for a wonderfully large 30mm objective, so it's like looking through someone's front window. Absolutely vast. I love it.It zeroed quickly, with very few adjustments needed. The tabs on the turret caps worked well, and are a feature I've come to expect from higher priced optics. Something else I didn't know but gleefully discovered was the direction arrows for adjustment: I expected them on the turret itself like other optics. Instead, the direction arrows are inside the caps themselves, which I find fantastic. Instead of squinting in low range lighting to try and see tiny arrows in the turret, while also moving the rifle around to do so, I could leave the muzzle downrange and read the cap. The big, bright white direction arrows. Everyone should do this.So far, I've only run 150 rounds through it to get zeroed, but it held true. If its anything like my other Monstrum optics, I could run it over with a truck and it would hold zero.I recommend this optic whole heartedly.

Best rifle dot sight I've ever used.
The best dot sight I've ownedI have a bad astigmatism and can't use most dot sights but this one is very clear both on and off, great sight picture with the dot circle reticle both red and green illumination and off the black is very clear against most light backgrounds. The only negative for me is it is heavy but I guess that's where it's ruggedness comes from and I will definitely be getting another one.

Do not trust montrum anything!!!
Listen, monstrum makes a deceptively nice looking product but do not EVER purchase from them. I've been burned twice. Years ago I purchased the 3x prism marksman. (I love the concept and clarity of a prism, I have a hard time with red dots due to my vision, they splash). It was very accurate but the prism wasn't set right and I had to hold my head in a very unnatural position to even partially see.Time goes by and I purchase the 1x. Very excited, looks good.Mounted it, sighted good.Tested it, WILL NOT HOLD ZERO...I do not claim to be God's gift to marksmanship. I've hunted and been around all manner of firearms my entire life. I've sighted in dozens of rifles, shotguns, pistols, with various optics. Some products work, some do not. MONSTRUM DOES NOT!

Need a QD base for some applications
Built like a tank, great eye relief (all prism will have eye relief, but it is long enough to use a magnifier) and good glass. OK daytime illumination but the outer ring of the reticle is thick and easy to pick up even when not illuminated. Jsut wish it had other mounting options such a QD base.

try it and see if you like it. I did not.
it works but bulky and small diameter.

Can't beat it for the price
I use this on a Ruger PC Charger. I have an astigmatism in both eyes, so a prism sight is nearly a must-have. I like the simple circle dot reticle over any other I've yet seen in a "micro" prism scope, and it suits this gun perfectly. The optics are surprisingly clear...I'd say they're about equal to most traditional scopes costing 2-3 times as much. Optimum eye relief is closer to 3.5-4 inches...6 is probably doable, but you'll lose a ton of field-of-view. I didn't do any testing on the adjustment tracking, or any of that; I simply mounted it and zeroed. Zeroing was pretty much trouble-free, and it has not shifted through 5 range outings with approx. 1000rds fired.I doubt this thing's up to anything much rougher than a trip to the range or for use on a "house gun", but that's all I need it for.Overall, it's been very well worth the price.

Very clear. Great eye relief.
Bought for a 10-22 for the diopiter adjustment for an astigmatism. Works excellent. Great eye relief.

Awesome sight
Thi is a very well built sight. The optics are crystal clear and the adjustable diopter means that it can be dialed in for whatever vision issues one may have. I have an astigmatism and this etched prism sight eliminates that annoying distortion I get with reddot sights. There are just 2 things to be aware of.1. It stands tall. Obviously designed for an AR platform.2. The center dot is a bit large. I'd guesstimate it to be 5 MOA.Neither is an issue for me but I thought it was noteworthy. Overall, a great value.
