Great for xl dog nails. These feel great quality and are actually sharp and sturdy enough to quickly and cleanly cut the nails of my large dogs, instead of just crushing them to bits and then getting stuck like many plastic clippers do.Makes nail maintenance a quick breeze for my two dogs who don't love getting their nails done.

These were the best clippers and I’m so sad we seem to have lost them so I’ll need to order another pair but they are nice and sharp and heavy on your hand but the handle is slippery, it should have some sort of textured grip but you can remedy that with a bit of duct tape or something

Not sure of these just yet…they were basically unusable out of the box. Two cuts and the pivot screw had backed out far enough where it would no longer cut nails. Being a lover of folding knive, I’m familiar with a pivot screw needing an adjustment so I removed the screw, and in the manufacturer’s defense, there was a small dollop of blue LockTite, but very small and obviously did not hold. Side note on pivot screw: they appear to be Torx screws, I don’t think they are standard sizes, I tried a T10 and T15 torx bit, but neither fit well. I was able to make the T10 work on the male (he/him)side of the pivot, but it slipped multiple times and is on the verge of stripping the screw; neither worked on the female (she/her) side of the pivot and would not grab at all. Once I finally removed the screw, I applied a generous amount of blue Locktite to the threads and I’m currently waiting for it to dry. I will update this review soon with my results.

Bought these for my dog as he gets anxious when we cut his nails. They work great and i have no problems

I have had a hard time cutting my big man's nails. He is a blue nose and 120 plus pounds(weights more than me) and has some pretty thick nails. These didn't take much grip strength and cut without splitting his nails or snagging. The nail guard was perfect also so I knew I wasn't taking much off at a time. This made grooming him so much easier and less stressful for the both of us. If you are on the fence on if these would work for your dog, don't be. These were exactly what I needed to get the job done for XL dog breeds.
