My use is somewhat different
Made well and is perfect however make sure you measure. I wasn't completely satisfied with the size so I wasn't sure - I opted for a 16". Now I know I can do with a 14". So here's what I did --I do not have a street lamp but I wanted to make a snowman head for Winter at our private street sign. I used the globe and a long garden funnel to put the skinny end down the street pipe. Then bubbles and weatherproof tape to secure all of these things together. Next I found a hat that's actually a "Mad Hatter" hat. Deconstructed and added my own band. Then added the matching scarf to cover the bubbles. Eyes are stones painted black and attached, nose is a thick cardboard cone painted orange and sealed for weather. All are attached with E6000 glue.I put battery operated timer lights in it and it's working. However I'll be running electric to this in the Spring. I have thoughts of a leprechaun, Uncle Sam, pumpkin head and ooo it's pricey but so much fun!

Don't use for deadmau5 heads
I know people used these for cosplay stuff in the past but I tried and they Crack a lot now from pretty much any dremel work. Seen other cosplayers complain about this recently so I assume they're making them weaker than they used to. Really a shame. Mine cracked in 2 spots pretty bad and has a lot of spidering fissures around it.

This was a perfect fit to replace our old globe. Looks great although it's not made to hang upside down so we drilled a small hole at the bottom to correct that.
