Build quality is great. I used it to replace existing sockets on our new quartz kitchen panel. Look superb. Value is spot on. Few months later - work as expected. Super fast charger works for Samsung. Advised.

USB dual sockets

This arrived when promised. It looks good was easy to fit and works as expected.

As one of the only products on the market offering 20W PD (power delivery) over USB C at a reasonable price, I was keen to try these out.The plates are minimal and attractive, without gaudy text shouting about the specifications of the USB sockets, which is appreciated. The brushed steel finish is very nicely done.Wiring these up is a doddle for anyone who has faffed about behind household sockets before, and the screws to hold the wires have a cross head, which is a welcome change from the usual slotted screws, although the crosses extend to the edges of the screw, so a flat-headed screwdriver can be used if you really want to.All the extra circuitry inside these sockets does make them a little deeper than the sockets that will probably replace, taking up most of a 25mm back box. Getting them to sit flush against the wall was quite a challenge as I had to really squish up the wiring behind them.Once installed, they look great and function very well. The 20W available is shared between the two USB sockets, so don't expect to fast charge two devices at the same time - but then the description of the product doesn't claim to be able to be able to do that, so no harm done.I'd certainly recommend these sockets for anyone looking to add USB to their wall sockets.

There is a high pitched noise when charging via the usb socket. Does it with any cable. Cannot be bothered swapping it so I will just live with it. It does fast charge as advertised though.

Excellent quality the 2 types of usb connectors work great and excellent value for money

Since installing these sockets I've yet to have any issues. I have many devices that utilise USB C charging so these will get a lot of use.First impressions are that of a quality product. All the parts feel well put together and the materials do not feel cheap like other sockets I have used in the past. Obviously this is steel so will naturally feel more premium but even the parts on the back of the socket feel high quality and have the expected safety markings.I have a basic background in electronics and I own a USB power tester so I performed some tests on this socket to make sure it is capable of providing the advertised charging power.- Readings from the USB C PD port are - 8.9V/2.1A & 11.8V/1.62A which equals ~20W - so meets the specifications as listed.- I've not tested the QC port as all my devices are USB C but given the overall quality feel of the socket I would expect it to provide the correct charge.Installation was straightforward, connected the usual 3 wires on the back and it fit perfectly snug inside our existing wall box.Overall I'm pleased with the socket and will likely be purchasing more for other rooms in the house.
