Too rough a surface. Just get a 6 foot board.

Clipped in. Can also be removed and used to connect both together for one long board.

Q: Is the jack base compatible with a standard bottle jack?

As long as the base of the jack is flat then yes

I’m not sure I completely understand the question, but we have 4WD. We only have one set (2) boards. I always use on rear. You will need to dig out the sand some to get these as close to bottom of tire as possible to ‘get up on them’. Use the straps to find them as they will get buried.
