You can even retwist with a tighter turn when necessary with this tool.You have to push down as you untwist the pairs, sometimes gotta do it twice or just flip the end you're using, then bend ever so slightly and pull to straighten. After the first few you get it and it just helps you grind out terminations quickly without sore raw fingers.Worth the money, period.

Easy to use even for one who doesn't make a living terminating J45s. Works well.

I was skeptical, but this simple tool really does seem to simplify the task. I find that my fingers just aren't as dexterous as they were 20 years ago, and untwisting and straightening the wires for termination was painfully slow after not having done it for a year or two. This flattened tube made a big difference.

For what they are and the cost, it's what I expected. Nothing special really. The untwisting part is mixed feelings. The straightening is perfect and saves the fingers after doing so many cables a day. I'd say overall they are worth they money based on the straightening alone.

This tool makes it so easy to untwist wire. Not only does it save my fingers but I can terminate wires faster! highly recommend!

I work with data wire almost daily and have considered buying one of the powered un-twisters but this works well and I highly recommend you to try for the price of the tool. The barrel is very good for straightening though I have seen a bit of scaring from pulling the wires over it. My recommendation for the maker would be to make that outer barrel from a slightly harder polymer but would have no problem buying another and will continue to use this tool for all my untwisting and wire straightening.

This was one of those tools that I found on Amazon. I did not know I needed. It makes it so much easier to untwist and straighten the wires. Excellent product.
