These are typical GoPro cameras. The four stars is because one of the ones I purchased has an issue with connections but it's nothing I can't nadle.

Pros:- Good Image Quality in Medium and higher lighting- Very Compact SizeCons:- Terrible Touch Screen Interface. Confusing icons, confusing menu contexts, buried options, terrible user experience. The UI feels very clunky in the era of smart phone and tablets.- Terrible power off long press detection results in Powering off message but it does not in reality power down. So you have to wait an extra 15 seconds to check it is off or you end up filming in your pocket and don't notice it until it starts burning your skin.- Short Battery life. Don't believe their stats. In real world use you are lucky to get more than 30 min battery on a new battery and charger. Buy 3 batteries and an extra charger.- The camera gets so hot it cannot be after amen filming even mid level quality and only 30 fps.- Terrible hardware design. The battery door is cumbersome to open and can be detached unexpectedly and dropped.- You have to open the battery compartment and remove the battery to remove the SD card and even then it is recessed and cumbersome.- The battery can be inserted 80% in either direction but only one way is correct, resulting in a 50% success rate. A better design would be to make it impossible to insert the wrong way and design the battery and opening in such a way to make orientation alignment obvious for near 100% success on the first try.- The GoPro ipad App is useless. The transferred photos/videos are inaccessible outside of the app on an ipad or iphone. A direct USB C download is possible in the iOS Photo app but it's very cumbersome. You have to reset connection settings in the camera every time to get the GoPro to show up inn the photos app. That is still better than the GoPro app, which is a low bar.- Changing photo and video quality, lens type and other settings is clunky and error prone on a 2" touch screen. It would be nice to have a set of quick presets for video and photos with different resolution, lens width and other options.- The camera is so small its is difficult to store video without head mount or a selfie stick boom.- The gallery is also clunky and often accessed or excited accidentally. There is no thumbnail grid interface so you have to scroll through every item which is annoying with autoplay on.
