Q: I have a projector screen that I am looking to turn into a green screen. Will this paint work on fabric/canvas?

It the projector screen is a white wall, you are fine. As for fabric or canvas, the paint goes on very thick. You would need at least 2 coats to be effective. You are best painting the fabric/canvas horizontally to get an even coat. Fabric with a high thread count (small spaces or holes in the fabric) are more likely to work with 2+ coats of ChromaKey HD Gold. If you intend to fold the fabric or canvas afterward, this paint won't work for you. Folding it will result in the paint cracking and flaking in the future. We once had a customer paint the entire interior of a car for a film project. The fabric seats, the carpet, the doors, etc. all covered in ChromaKey paint. He informed us the paint worked extremely well. It's not what it was designed for, but I am glad to tell you it worked in that case. If your projector screen is something like a Da-Lite, you may run into problems. Feel the projector screen. If it feels sandy to the touch, that would mean you have hills and valleys in the material. That may produce shadows. If you see shiny particles (like glass), that would produce reflective material in the canvas if missed or not covered with paint. A roll-up projector screen (like most Da-Lite's) will not work for you.
