I really like this one. However, it does not seem to read older micro-chips I have an older reader that I kept and thank goodness I did. I hate the fact that I have to have two readers. But it works for now. This one is VERY easy to use. I really like it!

The product works very well. I had shipping issues with a very late delivery. I assume the product was lost. The company worked with me to fix the issue. I glad I did that instead of seeking a refund. Now that we have the product we are very happy with it.

Easy to use

When you get this little guy in the mail, you might think that you just got ripped off. Its soooo light you might wonder if there is anything inside! But nope, this is the real deal. The cheapness look is the reason why its not far more expensive. It does what you bought it for and it does it well. Anyone in Animal Rescue Needs A Good Chip Reader. Sadly, it can also be one of the most expensive tools. My major quibble is that it took a very long time to finely make it from Germany to Texas. It was worth the wait and although the carry case also looks cheaply made, it works well and also has a recharge cord inside. I would recommend this product.

Works just as advertised. The read number does change off quickly, so be prepared to write it down. You can bring it back, though only the last number. Really handy for personal use.

I have used this product to make sure that 8 microchips are operational. I haven’t connected it to the computer yet to see how that works. I have no reason to give it a less than 5 star rating but I hadn’t used it for long or on many chips. Once I had placed the chips on my cats, I checked to see if the reader would detect them there as well as when the chips were still in the syringes. In both cases the reader needs to be very close to the chip in order to detect and read it. It shows the chip number immediately once the chip is detected. I t took about three weeks to receive it once the order was placed. The reader comes from Germany.

Donated this to Halo dog rescue in my mothers name after she passed away. We asked for donation instead of flowers. wish I could rate it, but we never heard back from them! With that being said, having a chipped dog myself, I know what this will mean to someone if they loose their pet. Hope it works for them! enjoy!
