EGO POWER+ Portable Misting Fan, Outdoor Electric 18" 5 Speed Fan, Battery and Charger Not Included - FN1800

This thing is a beast! I haven’t had it long, but where I live in Florida, it has become a daily staple. My wife uses it in mist mode while tending to her patio garden. I use it while doing stuff guys do in the garage. The whole family used it while on a Memorial Day weekend camping trip. It was a lifesaver, keeping us in a nice breeze on 95 degree days with 85% or more humidity. We used it while sitting around the picnic table, prepping food, eating, and inside the tent to keep a good breeze going making nighttime comfort manageable enough to sleep. Mind you, two 5 amp hour batteries took us through four days of periodic use and three nights of non-stop use in the tent. I have no idea how I will ever survive without one now. Great product Ego; keep it going!

Not too big and not too small. I’m used to having my Dewalt jobsite fan when I’m outside barbecuing but was always disappointed with the small weak column of air output…not this EGO!! The mere fact that it oscillates, let alone with three oscillating angle options is amazing!!!! I haven’t used it extensively yet, however the battery drain so far is spectacularly low for the output and I’m only using a 4ah battery. I haven’t used the misting option yet but I’m anxious to when it heats up outside. Word of caution, as with all EGO products, it is HEAVY without and especially with a battery of choice. But the tradeoff is the build quality and a feature-rich product. It is significantly bulkier than my Dewalt fan but…has far more features and hence overall superior performance and utility. You won’t regret it. One last note, it has a Bluetooth connectivity option which is no gimmick at all. With a battery installed you can awaken the fan and have full control of it so if you’re outside and too comfortable to get up and adjust the settings, you can do it all from the comfort of the EGO app on your phone!! Que mas queres?!?!

This blows every over battery powered fan out there. This is great when the power goes out. Put it on number 1 or 2 with a 5ah battery and for over 8 hours being used, it only used up 1 bar of the battery (5ah). Must own if you love EGO products and if you don't have any, you should get them now. They are the best products out.

We live in the Deep South, great weather except for June-August when you just don’t want to be outside.This fan ran 9 hours with a 7.5 amp hour battery, it did a good job suctioning water on mist function. This will be on the boat for those hot fishing trips.Good build quality, as all Ego products. Great cooling.

This thing is amazing and is a great addition to the other ego products I have. I already have batteries and a charger so that factored into my purchase decision. Out of the box, you'll need to attach the handle and the 2 wheels - very easy. You'll need a clean 5 gallon bucket (does not come with a bucket, so if you don't have a bucket you'll need to buy one), filled with cool clean water so you can drop the built in line with filter into the bucket. I got a food grade bucket with a lid and drilled a hole through the lid to drop the line in - this helps keep the water clean from debris. Add your fully charged battery, position your fan and bucket of water (this took a few tries to get the distance just right) and turn it on. Yes, this fan makes noise and the noise increases with higher speed settings... I've never come across a utility fan that doesn't make noise. Some reviews mention that the nozzles leak and while mine do too, it is not a deal breaker as the "leak" depends on the angle of the fan and the puddle is minimal at worst. I suppose I could tighten the nozzles like another reviewer did but it's just not a problem or enough of an inconvenience for me to do that. Battery life: I have been using the large ego battery and so far I've clocked 10.5 hours and still have more than half of a charge available. As for water consumption, the full 5 gallon bucket of water will last 1.5 hours on the high setting. This fan is perfect for me and has made it comfortable for me to sit on my porch again in this ridiculous heat we've been having in the south. Also, with the wheels and extendable handle, it is easy for me to move the fan around as needed.
