Worth it on deal - great for films, not for gaming!
(Update) A year later! I got a new PC (4060 ti / i7) which sorted the mouse lag, i was hasty to blame the projector when it was actually my laptop. The Cosmos is my main PC screen now.Not noticed any lag for daily gaming. With the right settings, the consoles look a treat too (PS5/Switch) on a huge screen (100inch at a distance of 3m). Not as good as an Oled panel but genuinely not far off in a low lit room.I also sussed you can skip the janky android OS by flicking straight to HDMI - the remote isn't that bad once you get used to it and you also have the additional controls on the unit.I hook this up to an IPad for garden films (which is brilliant on a propper screen) I also use a splitter with 2 duo bluetooth connectors for wireless headset connection (Airpods etc) which saves hassling the neighbours!Upgraded to 5 stars....and for the current price i'd give it a 6!I looked at the SE but not sure its of the same quality as the OG unit. It has some tech bumps and QoL features but when i see SE... I think apple...-----------Old review-----------Its a great device. Even better on deal. The picture is amazing, even on a bright day with curtains open - much much better when you darken the room though.Cons - the rubbish OS thats built in, requires signing in to a google account.... wether you have one or not, no option to skip - so will lock you out of the smart features if you dont set one up (like netflix etc). Also, the remote and functionality is janky and slow. Buttons wont work when you press them but the option will allow when pressed on the device itself.Theres lag on PC for gaming, very noticeable when using a mouse even with the settings configured (game mode and refresh rate etc)Slightly noticeable using PS5 but nothing game ending. I wouldn't use it for comp play. You may have better luck fiddling with the settings but i think im quite savvy with tech. The picture quality was great but not even close to a quality oled so dont expect pixel perfect sharpness. The auto focus and stuff is a gift, makes setup quite quick when you get going. The built in speaker isnt bad....its hardly big and powerful enough to notice the atmos stuff but it does the job. Looking forward to getting it in the garden for outdoor summer movie nights!

Versatile and stunning alternative to TV
I still use my 10 year old 40 inch 1080p TV which doesn't have any smart features and only 2 HDMI and a USB socket. Adding the Amazon Fire TV box makes it modern yet compared to many of my friends with their smart 65 inch 4k HDR TVs I knew I was now missing out. However I hate waste and didn't like the idea of just ditching my TV for the sake of an upgrade and am lucky to have a large blank wall in my small flat. At the fraction of the cost, as in not spending £3k+ on a 65-70inch TV, this projector provided me the perfect solution. I could set it up specifically for movies, or take it to friends for the recent football games. The image quality for the 4k UHD content I have is superb when protecting to 80 to 100 inch surface ( I couldn't go bigger has wall and room isn't large enough) with vibrant colours, and with curtains drawn even during the day you really get a better home cinema experience. The sound for general viewing is OK, though I do use my headphones if by myself through its mini stereo jack, or through my hifi amp. I personally didn't need to use the Android TV device after setting it up since I connect my Amazon Fire TV box in through the HDMI, and unfortunately you do need it if you want to use its inbuilt USB reader and to download another navigation app. However if you can get by with the single HDMI like I do, most times I unplug the Android TV attachment. The auto positioning works well at the very beginning, though I often go to manual focus, and it is super quiet to run. Excellent device I hope will last me a good few years to come.

Forget using this with hdmi.
Not that good for how much I dropped on this. The bluetooth isn't great, drops out all the time...so bought an ultra high speed hdmi cable for it. Youtube played fine, spotify was great, but Netflix, Amazon and Disney +.....more than rubbish. Netflix. Solution to play original English rather than English 5.1. This meant the dialogue would play through the speaker I connected to the projector. But Disney and Amazon nah. These guys are defaulted to 5.1 sound. The only way any dialogue on these two will play is if you select visual explanation English....absolute guff.Sick of ultra expensive high end compatibility issues.Didn't matter what I did, I couldn't get dialogue to play in Disney and Amazon. So, I had to go back to drop out central via Bluetooth. Picture is amazing, speakers are a tad tinny hence hooked it up to a soundbar. At this point...forget it. You have been warned.

Great for evening viewing.
Small, compact, and very quiet (if you take it out of conference mode). For the first few weeks we were like ah ok put up with a not the quietest fan which you really only noticed when no content was playing, and then we discovered to turn off conference mode, and now the projecter is properly whisper quiet such that I can no longer hear it even when it is only three feet behind me. Great for evening viewing, or dark room during the day. Not so good during the day. For the price I can delay my watching until the evening, and listen to music or read or garden or walk during the day.
