So my daughter is 6 years old & exactly 46” tall. I was not sure if I should get her the small or medium, so I got both. The blue is a size medium & the green is a size small. She prefers the medium because there is more room for her to stretch & move around. She says it feels more “cozy”. If your child prefers more deep pressure then I would get the size small. The material is very stretchy. It does have a bad smell when opened out of the package. I washed them both on a quick wash cycle & hung them to dry outside in the sun & they dried very quickly (like within 30 mins) & smelled much better.

If you are looking at one of these then your child probably has a different equation than others. If you are a parent of a child where this would be helpful, I want to encourage you with this product. More than just the sensory sock, I want to encourage you as a parent. Being a parent is fantastic and it’s the greatest thing in the world. Being a parent with a kid that might need something like this means that you are doing your best to set your child up for success. Your work and your labor as a parent helping your child is not in vain. Sounds for them might be louder and lights might be brighter. You may be unable to buy pants with pockets in them because the texture bothers them. They might want to get an a sock like this snuggle up to it and feel the pressure. They may never tell you exactly what they need and you might wonder if you are ever breaking in to them. Buy them this so and sit next to them. Just be their person. If you are still reading at this point, you are a good parent. You really matter to your child.

My oldest kiddo recently was diagnosed with a sensory processing disorder and the occupational therapist used one of these so we decided to invest in one for our home so that he can have multiple tools in different locations. It's been great. It's a little bigger than we thought it would be and he'll be able to grow into it. I'm glad we invested in one to support our little guy. It definitely helps him regulate.
