Very tasty
Not very large size, but naturally sweet, so I had just kept them soak 1 day in the water, then boiled for one hour. And they were ready to go into the salt water. Very addictive!!!

Best beans ever!
I love these beans! I soak throughout the day in salt water, changing the water every 4 hours. Then continue to soak overnight. The next morning I put them in a pot with stock and cook on a low heat for 3 or so hours. It's definitely overkill, but the beans come out SOOO GOOD. No bitterness at all, in fact I think these aren't even the bitter kind - they're naturally sweet even when undercooked - just a bit hard.

How to cook
Great alternative if you’re doing low carb/keto although it does take a while to prepare. This one bag lasts a while if you’re not doing vegan/vegetarian and just want a different veg option.I noted a bit of confusion on here as to how to cook so thought might share how I prepared it.You’ll have to leave for a good 18-24 hours in water. I just change the water whenever I remember (so in the twice in the first 4 hours then another two times at some point). Make sure to stir once in a while; I found that beans at the bottom soak the water more than those at the top. Then boil for an hour or so afterwards or depending on how soft you want it to be.

A couple of months ago!
A while ago, after a blood test, I was advised by our health surgery that I was close to being pre-diabetic (type two diabetic), after a lifestyle change I stopped consuming, bread, potatoes and umpteen other things, including beans. Then I discovered that Lupin beans were low-carb. So I gleefully bought these and put them in our instant pot for 30 minutes, but absolutely no effect, so I gave them another 30 minutes, but still very little effect. After 90 minutes of pressure-cooking ( and 24 hours of soaking), they are beginning to become vaguely edible. They taste of, well not much actually, but I like beans, so I will try to forgive them.

Perfect sweet Lupin
There are two types of Lupin beans; the sweet and the bitter one. This is the former. The way to make it is to soak it for 24 hours and then to put it in boiling water to boil for 3-4 minutes. Then you soak it in tap water, add salt, may be a touch of lime and chilli powder. Keep it in the fridge immersed in the salty mix. To eat you need to get rid of the covering soft shell and eat the inside perfect as a snack or munchies / tapa with alcoholic drinks

How does one cook them?
How does one cook them? One review, dated Nov 4th 2022, says they're very good. Another dated Nov 7th 2022 says: hope they'll degrade in the food waste. We've boiled ours to death and they're still hard and inedible, went in the food waste! We have cooked, eaten and enjoyed beans for years. How can these be so bad?
