This thread is strong and well-made.
Korbond had a reputation as being cheap and not very good thread but I have always found it to be good, strong and value for money. Unlike other reasonably priced threads it does not fray or throw fibres. It can be used in a machine or by hand and though there are not hundreds of colours there are enough to cover most material requirements. It is better value for money than other branded threads as well.

Lovely thread
Bought as I’m approaching 40 and think I’m having a mid life crisis and am doing a battle jacket for gigs for the first time in years. This thread is durable, sees into denim fine, and easy to use. Doesn’t split or tangle.

Good thread, good value, some issues at start of reel.
The thread itself is strong and good quality, and I would recommend it for both machine and hand sewing. However, I had issues when starting the reel, which is the reason I have deducted two stars. The way the thread was wound reversed a short way in (about half a bobbin's worth) and my sewing machine broke the thread in protest.Secondly, especially at the beginning of the reel, if I was sewing quickly and stopped suddenly the thread would wind itself around below the bottom of the cotton reel, giving the impression that the machine had jammed (when it was the reel of cotton that had got stuck). Both problems were easy to resolve, but at the same time were somewhat annoying. Once enough of the thread had been used, the problems didn't recur.
