I’ve been using Petmate products for at least 7 yrs. They are reliable and quality. The filters give me a sense of that extra filtration so my dogs & cats are getting a more pure clean water .

I forgot this time and every other time I have rinsed it but have never seen the water turn black in the sink. This time I forgot to rinse and when I turned the big bottle upside down into the dog bowl all this black charcoal color started coming out! OOOPS!

Keeps the water fresh and filtered

I have the Replendish waterer for my cats, and these are brand name and the perfect filter replacement for it! I like that they are individually wrapped to keep their freshness, although the tight wrap can be a little difficult to get off. I also like that these included an extra filter strap to keep them in place, just in case you may have lost or broken it. As a side note, make sure you do run the filter under water or even let soak in a bowl of water for a bit before actually putting it in your waterer.I do find it strange that when I purchased these 3 days ago, they cost me less than $4.50 including tax, and now as I'm writing this review the price has literally doubled. I did think to myself that they were very affordable here, as I can only imagine these would've been between $7-$10 at Petco, but they didn't have them when I went. Will definitely purchase again in the future if the price goes back down by the time I'm looking for them next.

It fits the dispenser and the water was so much cleaner. The filter that came with the dispenser was a few years old and had a weird film on it (expected with how long it wasn’t changed but had been clean and nice to this point). I took it out completely waiting on the refill to come in and algae immediately took over the jar. Cleaned it and put in the new filter with no issues since. I won’t let it go that long again!!
