Best HDMI switch
Just bought my second one and I really have to say that this is the best switch ever! Ive used many different switches over the years not just for HDMI so going in I expected it to be a little better than manually switching plugs in the back of the TV. Ive had one on my 4k tv for about a year and honestly forgot I had it until my 2 year old turned it off the other day lol. The auto switch feature is great and works every time. The picture quality is as good as my TV is gonna get. Highly recommend!! great quality and price

No one to blame but me for buying it
Seemed to be working just fine. Started having trouble with watching Prime and Netflix on my BR player after about 8 months. Finally I couldn't get it to come up at all. Kept showing "Invalid Format" on the screen. I nearly threw the BR player out but did a thorough process of elimination test first and found that this switch box was the invalid.First I swapped cables to a known good one. Same result. Then I switched ports and it kept "switch" bouncing between the original port it was in and the new one. It wouldn't lock in. So I plugged straight into the TV and it was working just fine. I had to re-register it with my services, which was weird. It was as if the switcher was making my device a different ID.Anyway, it appears that it lasted okay for several months before I started having these troubles and finally, it totally crapped out in about a year and a half. Wish I would have known this was the problem to start. And I'm not even going to check about a warantee. My guess is it is only 90 days anyway. Since most things that are not guaranteed for at least a year can be expected to die as if the manufacturer knows what it is made of and it won't stand the test of time. When looking for these types of items, be on the look out for ones that look exactly the same but have different brand names. They are usually just Chinese junk, mass produced for multiple distributors. Lesson learned. Guess I will need to "roll the dice" again and find something eventually with some longevity to it.

Works great for my application
Works great right out of the box! I have 3 devices going into this switch and they are all working great. Sound, color and picture size are all exactly as expected. My devices are (1) Xfinity X1 HD receiver, (2) Playstation 3 and (3) Samsung BluRay player and the output is connected to a Samsung 55 in. HDTV. I purchased new 4 ft. gold plated HDMI cables to connect each of the 3 devices to the switch. Automatic switching feature detects when another device is turned on and switches even if the first device remains on. I don't see that as an issue since in theory you would only turn on the new device if you were going to use it. When I turned off the second device, it also automatically switched back to device #1 since it was still on.I didn't look at the advertised size of the product and was a bit surprised at how compact it is. This means it takes up very little space. Since the remote is IR, it needs to be out in the open with a clear line of sight from the remote to the switch.I will continue to experiment with it and update my review if anything notable happens.

Good Price, Great When it Works
Great when it works, like the features, but for the most part it stops working for no reason. I like an HDMI switch that works reliably without any worries. Noticed issues a month and a half latter after the return window. Switched HDMI cables and still experiencing issues. Also, I noticed that it only works with the auto detect feature on.

Works well for my use case, documentation would be helpful.
The switch works very well for my purpose, which is to select the input to my computer monitor.I withheld a star because the item had absolutely no documentation provided.

Finally, an HDMI Switch that lets you turn off Auto-switching! Better for consoles this way.
There are lots of options for HDMI Switches out there, the two most common of which are the Kinivo and the Zettaguard. But if you're a console gamer, you should buy this one instead. The fault with the Kinivo, Zettaguard, and almost every other HDMI Switch, is that they have built-in auto switching functionality that cannot be turned off. This can be bad, since if you use videogame consoles, almost all of them do things while off or in standby mode that can trigger this auto switching functionality. The Wii U and Nintendo Switch in particular have had issues with this kind of thing reported on Reddit. This is the second to only HDMI Switcher that I can find that doesn't force this auto switching functionality on you. There is a button on the included remote to turn it off, which is excellent, since it won't force you to stop using standby modes, remove your Nintendo Switch from its dock, or find other odd workarounds. But you can still have this potentially convenient functionality if you think it won't cause issues.I use my PS3, PS4 and Wii U on this and it works exactly as intended.

Best switch for the home consumer
I used this product in combination with a jtexh 4 way hdmi solitter and a jtech hdmi extender usint cat7 cable to create a video network for my parents house. So they can have hd video to 2 places in the main living space so you can see and hear the same video in the livingroom and kitchen. It worked so good i bought a second switch for my house. The picture in picture is great and the autoswitching is intelligent enough to not switch to a channel that was already running. The only issue i had with it was the cable box would occasionally turn on but i believe that is related to the dvr and not the switch box itself.
