Lovely and well made organiser with all the inserts you’d expect
Perfect! Flawless leather and craftsmanship, lots and lots of inserts, calendar actually current year (this week I got stung elsewhere, where the calendar was 2 years out of date!), I’m very happy with the item and would buy again.

pleasant surprise after reading bad reviews
Purchased this item despite reading many negative reviews so didnt have high hopes for it to arrive intact. I was very pleasantly surprised. The organiser itself is top quality, no issues and really beautiful without any marks or imperfections. Clasp & metal binder working well. Many reviews had mentioned missing inserts however i received it all - a ruler, storage wallet, long thin notebook, 2025 diary, dividers, dotted plain & ruled paper (plus three sets of coloured lined paper), to do lists, address/contacts pages. i even received a 2022 diary pack (presumably they are letting customers do the recycling for them). Overall, extremely pleased since it was much cheaper than buying directly from Filofax.

SOFT, LUXURIOUS AND SIMPLY GORGEOUS
What a shocker!!! I expected the outer cover to be stiff but when it arrived it was pliable and soft to the touch which is gorgeous. You get:- 6 tabs labelled 1-6- 4 x 'To Do' pages- 8 x lined pages- 4 x graph pages- 6 x plain pages- 8 x 'Contacts' pages- 8 x coloured lined pages (grey, green, rose)- 2017 months on one page- 3 x pages of 'Personal Information' (NI No., Bank/Building Soc No., Doctor, Dentist - this is in several languages)- the usual 'world time zone' pages that no-one ever uses- 1 x plastic pocket (top opening) at the back- 1 x unruled pad that slots in on the back cover- 2017 diary - VERTICAL LAYOUT (hooray)- The Most Important Page Of All - The Filofax Registration page(*)(*) For those who don't know about this page, you register your Filofax on their website [...] and complete some personal information which gives you a Registration Code that you insert on the reverse (keep a note of this number somewhere separate). If you lose your Filofax, whoever finds it can ring the relevant number printed on the sheet, and FILOFAX will either pick the Filofax up by courier or send a pre-paid envelope to the finder and return it to the rightful owner. Now THAT'S what I call attention to detail. Well, done, Filofax.I was delighted to find the diary has a vertical diary layout (those people who use Erin Condren 'Life Planners' and the like will know how beneficial a vertical layout is) where the day's hours are shown from 8am to 8pm but there is space to enter your tasks before/after if you need to.One thing I found out - and this is important to note - is that there is no guarantee what type of diary layout you will get from Filofax: for some reason, it's the luck of the draw - I don't know why this is so. HOWEVER, if you are disappointed and get a vertical layout and you'd prefer a horizontal one (or vice versa), don't feel that you have to settle with what you get: you CAN customise your Filofax, remember. I have another Filofax (the Domino A5 in turquoise) into which I've put the pages from an Erin Condren-type planner I had lying about: I just cut the pages down to A5 size (and also the Jan-Dec tabs which had a lovely quote on them) and used them in my Filofax instead of the horizontal diary that (unfortunately) came with that particular one. All you need is one of those paper cutters from craft shops and off you go.It also has two elastic pen loops, a slightly larger elastic piece (don't know what you'd put in there), a deep pocket (not a top-opening 'secretarial' pocket) and two slots into which you slide cards in from the left, not from the top, on the inside cover. Plus it has an original 'Filofax, The Original, Est 1921' button to close it with - gorgeous. If you want to keep it clean, I agree with reviewer 'Seahorse' - get a plastic cover for it, but I don't mind if it gets 'worn' over the years because it ain't going anywhere.

Cute
Beautiful little Filofax, gorgeous color. 4 stars because I ordered the rose pocket, but I received the patent rose pocket… I don’t like the patent models because they get scratches more easily, but I decided to keep it anyway because there wasn’t a replacement available for it... Also this planner came from Germany, I would have been informed about that. Overall it is very lovely.

Professional but attractive. A lovely diary for work
This beautiful Filofax comes with a 2017 diary, notes, contacts, grid paper, dividers, plastic top opening envelope and a slim notepad. The colour is close to what appeared on my screen and looks even better in real life. The Original is made of a single piece of thick leather and the item feels well made. It has stood up to regular heavy daily usage during which I have thrown this from bag to desk and treated quite roughly and it hasn't marked or dented. The leather is patent but it's subtle as the colour seems to absorb a lot of the obvious shine that you get with the darker colours like purple and black. This looks good but at the same time is appropriate for business use. I enjoy using it and would recommend. One thing to note, as with any patent item, this shouldn't really come into contact with ink type - keep away from receipts, papers, documents etc as the patent coating may absorb ink.

Beautiful, helpful and worth the investment!
I love the Filofax Original a5 planners! I have eight of them all in a5 and use them for different purposes. The black is my desk planner (catch-all), the navy is for health (med, weight, moods, allergies etc), the nude for home management, the brown for finances, the red for Christmas, the purple for literature (books, magazines, etc), the fuchsia for leisure (parties, holidays, birthdays, projects etc) and the dark aqua is for my son with Down-syndrome as it is his favourite color and his room etc is also aqua. ;-) And yes, I am already looking for the next one as a travel planner to hold all passports, tickets, reservations, travel diary etc. You might think I am crazy but life is full of challenges and these binders make me happy and help me organise my days, keep track of things and save time. I love the smell and the touch of the leather. I enjoy making them look attractive from the inside - candy for the eye. :-)) I have had my black and nude one for two years and they still look like new. I also have two Original personal sized planners to carry in my handbag but I honestly prefer the a5. Its easier to print out a5 or a4 and fold it in half. When I have to take my boys to the doctor I can just grab the navy planner and I am prepared. I often make my own inserts to track things etc. When I read a book I tend do research on certain topics, make printouts and then put them in the planner. The glossy planners are just as beautiful as the non-glossy ones, only the non-glossy ones smell and feel more like leather. I love them both!
