Perfect for my grandparent with dementia
The CouchConsole Original Tray was a thoughtful gift for my grandparent with dementia, and it has proven to be a fantastic choice. Its elegant black/gray design fits beautifully into their living space, providing a touch of modern style. The tray’s functionality is particularly beneficial for someone with memory challenges. The armrest caddy keeps drinks and snacks securely in place and easily accessible, which is incredibly helpful during our family visits or while they're watching TV.The phone stand feature is also a great addition, allowing my grandparent to keep their device in sight, which helps them stay connected with family members and caregivers. Additionally, the storage for TV remote controls and other small essentials is a game-changer. It aids in reducing clutter and helps my grandparent find things more easily, which is important in their daily routine.Durability is another key aspect of the CouchConsole, ensuring it withstands daily use. Its user-friendly design is perfect for my grandparent, making it easy for them to use without assistance. This gift has not only brought practical benefits but also a sense of independence and ease into their daily life. I highly recommend the CouchConsole Original Tray for its combination of smart design and practicality, especially for those caring for loved ones with dementia.

Should have bought it sooner.
I RARELY post reviews, also I am literally moving to another state right now and I'm technically procastating right now and really should be packing. However I have to say that this thing is a legit unbiased, not payed for anything review. If you like to chill and watch movies on your bed or couch and need a designated spot for your phone, controller, drink, or other things you may keep near you....This tough piece of modular 'hard' plastic fits the bill, it feels durable - ya know not cheap or sorta cheap in other ways, stays in place - like plop down Godzilla into a body of water thats your bed, and has a nice Modular design. You have a little pocket 'void' for stuff under the the modular pieces, I could see this as a nice little spot for an inhaler, or maybe a pill bottle, maybe a little pen vape, media controller, etc. It easily fits my large anker battery so if I want to charge my phone I can through the attached USB c port and cable. That drink holder is straight sorcery btw, ya it works not a drop spilled - see Godzilla analogy ^.My suggestion - PRODUCTIVE criticism. 😀External USB C Port1. I would like to see an external port on this thing.I think most people have either a long or ABSURDLY long USB cable for power near where they lounge at, even that one friend that has one of those over the top LED lit usb cables. The internal USB cable and external USB port is nice. It makes this thing a portable power console with "external battery". However someone should have included an external plug to make charging easy from an external USB cable.I get it likely was a hardware, logistical, cost, and consumer cost issue, BUT STILL. Maybe in a another model, ooh 'couch console - POWERED!'2. Modular Accesories. In the world of DLC packs and Apple, someone in marketing or R&D should have stood on the throat of the CEO, Director, or whoever makes the big boy decisions, and should have done so publicly to make sure this thing was released with modular accessories, and also then casually mentioned the external USB port..The opportunity here to make common but specfic accessories is abundant, just a few.Wireless Charging Pad.Game Control Cradle - Xbox, PS, NintendoMulti Media Control HolderPhone HolderSpecific Food TrayEtc - I am not being payed for this...TLDR - Thing good, buy thing, thing could be great do better!

Good but not perfect
I like this console, and I’m going to keep it, but be aware that the gyroscope in the cupholder only works if the center of gravity is low enough. I don’t really need the “snack cup,” so I use that for my drink until the level is low enough. Also, drinks with a larger diameter tend to pull the whole cupholder out of the console when you pick them up.

Love the cup holder
Honestly, my couch is old ans kind of crummy so I bought this like 90% for the self balancing cup holder because I already have a cup holding pillow but it's an iffy situation because my couch isn't flat and the drink can still spill from the tilt if I'm not careful enough. I was able to tilt this on purpose and still keep my soda upright and spill proof. It's not merely stable, short of a hanging, weighted gimbal for stabilization, I don't think it can get more stable than this. My poor wife had to deal with me twisting the thing around like it was the latest quantum miracle of technology. But, yeah, I'm impressed. What I wanted it for most, it delivered in spades in an immediately observable way.It comes mostly ready to go. The only thing I really had to do was take the little extra support out of the bottom of the cup holder and put it in the rear compartment and that was essentially it for assembly. It simply isn't that complicated. I think the thing that I had the hardest time simply figuring out was that the the spacer between the two smaller modules is also a clever fold out lid that fits into the top of the snack holder module. Which is genius for efficiency and space saving. I'm not sure when you'd need it but I guess it's nice to know you couldI will also say, having only a couple of hours of use so far, the arm rest pad was nice. It was about the level of comfort as my couch's arm. Not amazing but quite nice as an option with what this is.For disappointments, there's nothing much particular to gripe about having just started using it.It definitely looks like the giant hunk of black plastic wrapped industrial polystyrene that it is. It's not a work of art but I also didn't expect it to be. It is slightly bigger than I was imagining which scared me until I actually used it and it isn't that much wider than the rectangular cup holding pillow I got it to replace. Since it's square, that makes it take up less space overall, so it ends up feeling smaller in use.The arm rest is nice, as I said above, and my phone fits ok in the slot for it, not ideally because I have a thickish case but it is reasonably sized as long as your case is reasonably so. However, the arm rest and the phone & remote holder are a single piece, the two uses on opposite sides, so you do have to pick which you want more, an arm rest or a phone and remote holder. The bottom of the item is very mildly textured strips of extruded plastic, set at a 45 degree angle to the sides. It's less grippy than the sheet of rubber to keep your remote control in place but it seems like it will keep the product in place well enough on a couch. I don't know if I would want to put it on anything delicate or solid though. It seems like it isn't grippy enough to stick but might be enough to scratch. If my couch was something for display, I might worry about it, but for its general intended use in the general intended context, it seems fine. The most baffling bit of construction on the thing is the little tab on one side that looks like a product name tag but is a solid tooth of plastic jutting out. That does ruin the clean line of the product and it's something to jab or catch. It is at least small. It is the one thing I would actually actually ask to change about the design, though. There are a few features I haven't used yet and I'll rewrite this if they have any significant impact in my feelings about the product but I don't particularly feel like they will. It's really just storage space and a usb-c cord with connected exterior plug. Unless there's something amazing or disastrous hidden away, I can't see it affecting my opinion that this is a solid five star product. It delivers what it promises. If that is what you want, you'll be happy with it.
