What I expected & more!
I had skimmed through the book a little while in Barnes & Noble, but didn't buy it. I study theatre in school, & the book never left my mind, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I ordered this book and it came in about a week. I love this book!! It expands on everything that I already know & gave me a few things that I never considered! Definitely a great read for someone starting out in acting. Gives you the real world information. Definitely worth every penny!

An easy to read book and a must have book for every actor.
Oh WOW. This book is written in a very easy style to read and is simple enough to use throughout your acting career. It is very explainatory on each and every skill that an actor needs to know and is the best guide to have. A truly great bible for every actor out there. I would suggest that you get this book and read it through and use the skills it can give you.

Interesting book on acting . I recommended it
Although I am not interested in acting per se. I am interested in the the techniques of acting. I learned the importance of projecting your voice and the physicality of acting. I’m fascinated with the process of losing yourself in a character. My 3 takeaways are the importance of preparation, this doesn’t just include memorizing your lines but what is the actor motivation his/her wants. Secondly, the physical part of acting, one technique is to imagine yourself an animal Marlon Brandon imagine himself a bulldog in The Godfather. And third takeaway is is substitute people in your life with characters in your script e.g you hate your boss and in the script , you hate a character in the script., now this character is your boss .One disappointing area I was interested in the Alexander Technique and very little maybe less than a paragraph. But overall, I recommend this book.

Great Training Tool For Both The Novice & The Pro!
As an actor, one never knows everything about the craft. You're "always learning"...or well, you should be. Lol. "The Acting Bible" is a great training tool for both the novice and the pro. I use it as a base when I'm teaching theatre workshops or when people approach me for info on getting into acting.A great book. Get it. Read it. Rehearse it. Perform it. "From the top. Annnnd 5, 6, 7, 8..."

Hallelujah
Okay, so this book is a god send (the puns are endless). I actually checked it out at the library, but then, upon reading it, I realized that I had so many pages I wanted to write in with notes and things that I just had to buy it. I've had training in acting and have been involved in several shows, but the techniques and tips in this book have helped me really unlock some things that were escaping me. But the quotes sprinkled throughout the book? Most of them I had to write down somewhere and stick them on my mirror or something, because those quotes described my life in a way I didn't think words could.Basically, anyone that has a real love of theatre and acting-- ESPECIALLY if that is what you want to do the rest of your life-- get this book. Read it. Absorb it. Then keep it in your nightstand like I do.
