Genius
This is so genius I wish I found this long ago. We always used a shoe to keep the door open for the cat, but we didn’t want the door to be pushed all the way open so we had a stopper behind it. This keeps it open the perfect amount and the door does not budge. You hook it on and it only takes a second. Such a great idea!

Works Great to hold my Courtyard Door Open
Works perfectly to hold my courtyard door open to invite in a fresh breeze when cooking or for cross ventilation. Holds door firmly in place and prevents it from slamming shut or flying wide open from the wind. I don’t currently have any pets but saw this as a great solution to my desire to keep my door slightly open. For reference, I purchased the extra-large version and my door opens about 5 inches when in use. Highly recommend.

Great latch for a fat cat! Very easy to install, no adhesive needed so you dont have to ruin your door and it does allow air to flow without letting your furry friends get out. The design is nice because there is no need for any tools.If you have a dog that has no boundaries they could pop this off the door. It just hooks inside the door latch. If you are using this to keep your dog out or in and you know they could bully their way through, this might not be the product for you. It would work for training.It works for my cats and dogs

Better than the sticker adhesive kind, 2 reasons
Get this one not the sticker kind. You can't install this wrong. It's sturdy plastic with metal tip, even against a 100lb dog.No more stealing kitty food or worse EATING OUT OF THE LITTER BOX, NO NO NOWe first bought another kind that used a sticky adhesive. It was installed on the outside of the bedroom door. Doh! roomie did it, not me. She would open the door and rip that thing off. It didn't last 1 month.
