Performs well
A must for basement laundry and deep sink. I had to install a ball valve on the discharge for flow metering. Otherwise it pumps out the basin within 10 seconds. I would only advise on the noise. The plastic basin allows for all the pump noise to amplify in the basement. Not deafening but will startle you if you’re not expecting it.

For New Owners
I bought mine about nine years ago and replaced the pump once during that time. I am going to give you some suggestions that might improve your experience. I am not a plumber or an expert. I am not responsible for any water damage to your property for following my suggestions. That's your problem.First of all - prepare for the worse !! There will be a malfunction or failure; you must be ready beforehand when that occurs. The container is not waterproof !! A washer can put out 10 to 20 gallons, and that water has to go somewhere. The container is not designed to hold all that water, so have a plan in place for it beforehand. Many sinks do not hold that much water either. I placed my container in a storage bin to catch the overflow. See the first picture. The bin was from Walmart and can hold about 18 gallons. This one thing is the most important thing to know. HAND-TIGHTEN THE ATTACHMENT TO THE INLET OPENING !! In fact, hand-tighten all the attachments since it is made of plastic. Put a message on the top of the container to remind your future self only to hand tighten it or never remove it once it is on. Too Tight, and you will crack the plastic. The Inlet is the weakest part of the container. Picture two shows a message to my future self. You can suffer malfunctions due to what is put down the drain. The pump uses a floating lever on a shaft that rises and lowers with the water level. Too much lent, dirt, and solvents, like paint, can make it malfunction. Best to just let only water go down the drain. Picture three shows a lent catcher. This will likely extend the life of the pump as well.So what if you do break the plastic inlet (seen in other posts and which I did nine years later since I didn't leave a message to myself)? All may not be lost. This is a costly investment; you don't want to buy a new container. A recommended glue for plastic is pictured above. If you glue the inlet, the attachment must be put on; oh, so softly !! I don't know if superglue works; you can try at your own risk.Another option is to have the 1 1/4 pipe coming from the sink bypass the attachments and go all the way inside the container. This is what I did with the glue. I reamed out the attachments to allow the 1 1/4 inch pipe to slide all the way through to the container. Make a note. The attachments are 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 with a 1 1/2 pipe between them, allowing the sink pipe to slide inside, bypassing the crack case. Picture four shows the pipe going through the attachments. Plumbing parts are expensive. Make sure my idea works for you before laying the money down.Lastly, You will want some way of warning yourself that the pump failed. You may not see the water in the sink if you run a load and then return hours later to put it in the drying. By then, all the water could be in the basin vs in the sink. Failing to recognize the failure will only lead to water damage even after your good effort. I got a see-through basin to check before running the wash. I am sure there are other ways to help warn you of a failure. I suggest doing some research and preparing for the worse to avoid water damage.

Gasket is no good
Put silicone on both sides of the gasket before you close it up. Otherwise water will come out

Excellent pump for pumping water from below grade, specifications included in the review.
Excellent pump, works with my washing machine lifting the drain water 9 feet and 20 feet horizontal. The container fills to some level then the pump starts, all water is pumped out in 20 seconds or less. It does require about 10 minutes of assembly when received, simple with one screwdriver. It would be nice if the manufacturer included some adapters to reduce both inlet and drains. Amazon does not give much information on pumps, What is of interest is that the pump will pump 36GPM at 5 feet, 30 at 10 feet, 25 at 15feetm and 12 at 20 feet.

You get what you pay for
I bought this to replace an existing pump that I’ve had for 5 years that was still in working condition. Upon placing this product the water could not be fully pumped out and over. Water keeps coming back down, pump keeps running very loudly. I called the company, customer service was great, I had a replacement shipped out, reinstalled. The new one did a bit bettered but water still returned to the basin. Installed my old pump and it worked better than the two brand new one’s of this brand.

Pump was just what we needed!
This is just what we needed to get the water from my washing machine up to where it is suppose to drain. It had never been fitted directly to the sewer lines and this solved the problem!!!

Good choice for small drain requirements.
It drains with very good pressure and immediately, we are using it for our new small kitchen in basement and it works perfectly for drainage to main sewer line.

Great product if your DEAF
Works very well but this pump is VERY VERY VERY LOUD. If you can install it 1/8 mile away from your house you should be ok. If you like watching tv talking to people or if you have pets this isn’t for you. Your pets will move out if you put this in your house. No way they will put up with something this loud. So if your Deaf and have no kids it will work perfectly. Oh and you should have all deaf friends and family too.
