Wusthof knives now almost surgically sharp
Great, does the job, my knives are now sharp again and I'd forgotten just how good they were a few years back (it's been that long). It's far easier than the other methods of sharpening but my ONLY criticism would be the angle. It's too easy to draw the knife through and the angle change, a narrower guide would make it that much simpler. Still, with practice it is fantastic.

Effortless charging
I was hopeful rather than convinced that this would sharpen my knives as I had brought a couple of other items that were supposed to work but they were not great and was soon sent back.Really happy with this as it works a treat is easy to use and blades are lovely and sharp afterwards. Can't explain how much nicer it is to use a sharp knife it even sharpened a couple of older knives really well. Hopefully it lasts as don't want to be without it now.

ULTIMATE SHARPENER
This must be the ultimate in kitchen knife sharpeners. Our culinary knives have never been in such fine, sharp, ready-to-use condition in our married life – and we celebrate 60 years next month. It took me about a couple of weeks getting the tools to the fixed bevel of the machine, but after that, a quick once through the finer grit wheels once a week is all that is needed. The reasonably compact size means we can find a corner of the surface for it to live permanently. The ease of use and fixed angles ensure a perfect angle every time.Thank you Salter; I wish we had found it years ago.

Nope
I ordered this knife sharpener sometime ago and forgot to give a review so I’m giving a review now as I’ve just used it again and remembered that this item is absolutely terrible. It’s not very sharp. It doesn’t sharpen the knives and it leaves the knives very dull.. I would not recommend this item…

Sharpening Kitchen knives.
I have used this once as a trial and it has sharpened my knives a bit. It seems to have sharpened them a little unevenly but that could be my lack of experience. Maybe on subsequent sharpens my knives will improve, just don't expect results like a professional place will do for you.

Not like most electric sharpeners.
I was recently given a great quality set of kitchen knives that had unfortunately been neglected for some time and in need of some TLC. Normally I would use a sharpening stone set and do them by hand however this would have taken me days to achieve an edge to work with so I decided to buy this to get me close to the finishing line and boy did it do a great job. This sharpener made what would have been a week long job into one that only took a couple of hours. The sharpener itself has 2 wheels one course and one fine but not too fine. The thing however that sets this one apart from other sharpeners is that the wheels flex as you insert the knife, something I have not seen on a sharpening wheel before, on the shafts ensuring correct pressure on the blade meaning you cannot press the blade too hard and ruin the knife something many people new to sharpening often do making it fantastic for anyone not sure on what they are doing. My only problem is that it only has the one set angle so all the blades it sharpens are done to the same angle. This however is only a small issue as for kitchen knives that this is intended for it is perfect however for someone wanting a good quality sharpener for the workshop and craft tools etc this is probably not for you. I can't stress how easy this is to use either left or right handed despite what a previous review has stated as if you are left handed all you have to do a stand a little further across to the right. All in all I would highly recommend this sharpener to anyone who spends time in the kitchen and loves cooking to the point they own good quality knives as when combined with a good leather strop this thing produces an edge you can shave with. With that in mind I have given 5 stars as a kitchen sharpener which it is advertised and intended to be as my minor issue I pointed out would only really be an issue had I bought this as a workshop sharpener which it is not and doesn't pretend to be!

Sharp but not extremely sharp. Very easy to use.
I bought this over the Vonchef one as this one claimed to have diamond stones that are said to be superior. I was looking into different expensive sharpening stones at first and someone made a good point. There isn't a point in spending big money on sharpening stones if you have cheap knives. I have very cheap knives so I figured this would do the job.My blades were extremely dull and doing the paper test they really struggled and ripped the paper rather than slicing. After spending 5 mins per knife (far more than the 5ish pulls that the manual recommends) using the machine I was able to sharpen the knives to a very sharp level. Whilst I did manage to shave arm hairs using one of the sharpened knives I wouldn't say these are the sharpest knives I've seen and I think I could have got sharper using a manual stone. A manual stone also would have taken me 15 minutes per knife and a far steeper learning curve. It is a little fiddly figuring out the pressure to push and the angle to use but after a few attempts you kind of figure it out.My only concern, looking through the bottom heat grid you can see the size of the diamond disks and they are pretty thin. Being diamond they are supposed to last a decent length of time but I'm skeptical as this also depends on the adhesive strength of the diamonds to the disks.
