So there are 2 answers both right. If your battery is complete dead unhook the battery negative first and then positive. As a drained battery will take most of your juice of the pack and waste it. Unhooking let's the cars components get the charged pack. Second. It's always safer to remove the ground first.

Q: What does green Fast light mean when you turn it on?

The fast light is pretty much just to let you know when your phone or game is charging quickly. Like a fast charger for a phone.

Q: What is the standby time?

Documentation for product specified to discharge and recharge unit once a month at a minimum. I have used product multiple times daily, faulty alternator, and I get well over 15 to twenty jumps between recharge. Unit comes with lighter plug for charging on the go. Unit has battery status view to check level, so you're not left in the dark or stranded. Great value and awesome lifesaver!
