Works great!
Purchased 8/2021 and has worked great. If I could find the o ring/gasket replacement I wouldn’t need to buy another one in 2025. Can’t complain it’s been a great filter for the $!

Sand Filter System 7-Way Multi-Port Valve IS NOT TRUE in my case!
Received on time. ***** Box and Contents in tact.***** When I opened the box and saw the box within, containing the "Multiport Valve," "Plain as day, on each side, it reads ""6-Way,"" NOT 7-Way Valve as advertised and mentioned throughout product description!!! For that, I say *** stars. I did not contact the seller to see if they would send me a 7-Way Valve. That was one of the selling points compared to others! The was not a parts breakdown list. The instructions lacked a lot. ** stars. I found a few similar filter installation videos on "You Tube." After that, it went together easy, except for my own existing plumbing. It is quite the cramped maze, but it all works fine. There are no leaks in the tank, including the drain valve. After reading other comments about the pressure gage, I added a few extra layers of plumber's tape and it works just fine. Less than 24 hours my pool was clean! No comment on the suction; I already had my own pump, 1.5HP, by Hayward. It would have been 5 stars overall, had the seller sent the "7-Way Multiport Valve" and not the "6-Way Valve." I used 300lbs. of HTH Sand, purchased at "Ace Hardware," locally. Approx. $12.00 per bag. A little cheaper at Home Depot, but I had to drive 100 miles round trip to get it. I make sure to use the back wash, followed by rinse, the back to filter. I only use a clockwise motion. I shut the pump off each time before changing the function. The inlet / outlets are clearly stamped / molded into the valve assembly.UPDATE: JUNE 13, 2020!The system is up and running flawlessly in June, 2020. The water is sparkling clear now. I can see the smallest dirt particles in the deepest part of my in-ground pool, 5 ½ ft. deep.So far, so good. I will take pictures and post / add later.Btw, due to some other post concerning the pressure gage’s leaks, wrong size, etc. I took the precaution and used extra Teflon / Plumber’s tape and screwed it right in. Mine works just fine. In fact, this is the best working gage I have ever used on two previous systems. The first system was sand. The second was a large paper filter system. The gages never really worked. This pressure gage worked day one. I used a black permanent marker to mark the original pressure, then moved over 5 psi and made another mark, so I knew when to “Back-flush.” It reached the second mark only once. The meter now reads 2-3 psi above the original mark. With the system off, meter drops to Zero. When turned back on, it returns to normal operating range.I also have the Hayward 1.5hp Super Pump. No leaks at all have occurred. I used 1 ½” pressure fittings, elbows, break away unions for winter weatherizing, and brand new valves from “Ace Hardware.” All pipe is 1 ½” PVC.I WOULD NOW BUY IT AGAIN. Yes I would recommend. Just clarify "7-Way or 6-Way valve when ordering," regardless of who you buy it through.

Great value yet quality!
Love this. Love the price. Installation was straightforward. I always suggest using pool super lubricant for all seals. No problems!

Warranty? What warranty?
BUYER BEWARE!Purchased in February 2025 & Installed in May. In the middle of June it developed a small split in the vessel just below the collar. 50 psi water spraying from it. Discontinued use since I was concerned that the entire tank might split and cause extended damage.I contacted the vendor. WOW, they can't help me because the warranty is only 60 days (not indicated in Amazon listing).Next they told me that it was my fault because I didn't buy the extended warranty. Really? Their competition offer a 1 year warranty. This could be a dangerous situation given the high pressure water and the possibility of a total tank split. At minimum, property damage could result. They tell me that I must have over pressured it by not backwashing. Not true, I backwash at 55 psi and rinsed before returning to filter.Next excuse was that I didn't keep it in the "Green". What Green? the gauge doesn't have any green markings.Totally crappy (non-existent) customer service. I have since checked with many of the other listings and all have a minimum of 1 year warranty and several have complete service parts listing for the valve.I think Amazon should prominently display the warranty AS PART OF ALL LISTINGS. Customers shouldn't have to purchase an extended warranty to get basic protection.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND VENDOR

Great
We have an above ground pool and had a smaller sand filter attached. Bought this as a replacement it was a lot bigger but it’s perfect it keeps the pool a lot cleaner which has in turn cut cost on our chemical use. Wish I would have done this a long time ago. Live and learn as they say.
