Q: I need a new hru for my 4-man liferaft. it has a hammar h20 r on it now. will this ha2000h be acceptable , if not do you have what i need ??

yes ....it will work for you.....this is a relibable unit......I have them on my 12 man liferafts for the University of Oregon

Q: the hydrostatic release unit is time/date controled. When I buy this online, does it come with a curent dated placard with 2 years of life ???

The Boat Owner (purchaser) sets the 2 year period on receipt of the release by removing the appropriate month and year labels on the release. As I understand it, the time limit begins when the release is first put into service, not when it was manufactured.

Wrong One

Viking service in Miami, Fl. sold this one I later exchanged after learning their DARK GREEN one for light rafts was a safer option. Will replace in its two year replacement program but wish Amazon also sold the DARK GREEN one to save me a 40 mile trip to Miami.
