This product exceeded my expectation. It attaches just like the original apple gen 1 cap did much to my delight and relief. The extra rubber cap is light weight and an added layer of functionality. Great quality product.

Honestly the pen should just come with this. Because who isn't going to lose this? You have to remove the cap to charge it or connect it to the iPad your bound to lose it at some point. This is so much more functionally sound so you can't lose it. Easy to attach and pop off then it just dangles on the side. Worth the money to me every time.

The day I got my Apple Pencil, I just knew that losing the charging cover cap was going to happen. Sure enough, it went missing. Now, I was on a mission to buy a replacement---one that, I was certain, would eventually meet the same demise as the first. But LOW AND BEHOLD.........I found this product that solved BOTH of my problems. The cap was a perfect replacement; it has the magnetic snap together ability that the original cap had. But it came with the nifty silicon tether that holds the cap and keeps it attached to the pencil itself. As if being tethered to the pencil wasn't enough, the cap can be inserted into the silicon piece so completely that I get an even greater peace of mind that it won't just somehow come loose and disappear.And, if you want to live life dangerously, you don't have to use the silicon tether. Just go about your business and lose the replacement cap like you did the original one. (Seriously, I'm joking here. You best use the tether or you'll be looking for another cap!)

When I tell you this thing has saved me from losing the little nub on the end of my apple pencil more times than I can count. I LOVE the goofy little piece of rubber that comes with it because I definitely lost the original end piece before I got this.
