Great SDS bit for my 10.8v impact
A great bit of kit, works perfectly in my 10.8v impact driver, saves me getting out the SDS at times, 100% recommend and would buy again in a heartbeat

Pretty good for the price
As a seasoned tradesman I find this 7 x 100 bit very durable however you can blunt or burn the heads off very quickly on hard bricks if you push too hard or at too high a speed. If you over stress any drill bit you'll kill it very quickly. Occasionally I push it to the limit where the tip goes smoking red hot and self destructs but usually I am more careful than that. Only use high speed for a few seconds which is enough to go 50mm into a standard brick with a good drill. As for tough concrete I wouldn't use this drill bit or a hammer drill, I'd use the SDS instead. As for drilling concrete lintels do not use SDS as you could shatter the lintel especially if you hit the steel bars inside.... At a rough guess I reckon I get 200 plus 50mm deep brick holes out of the Bosch 50 x 100 drill bit but I'm sure I could get more if I were a little more gentle. Just burned out the last one pushing it too hard. grrrr.

Absolutely fantastic
These are fantastic. As a tradesmen I have access to a variety of professional tools, and my usual go to for drilling holes in masonry would have always been an SDS. However with these I regularly find myself drilling holes using these bits in my impact driver instead. This week I had to install some surface mounted pvc trunking on a tiled wall with block work behind. These bits drilled neatly through the pvc trunking (an sds can easily crack trunking) then effortlessly through the tiles (again without damaging any tiles even close to edges), then into the hard block work behind. The 4mm version is also absolutely perfect for pre drilling for “fire rated” screws used for securing “fire rated supports” for cables. The other thing I like about these is the accuracy, often when using an sds getting the hole started absolutely perfectly where I wanted it was difficult. With these it’s spot on every time. They don’t last as long as an SDS bit tho, and if you hit something to hard they will be ruined quickly so be a little careful.

Drills through bricks easily, no need for SDS
I wanted to drill into bricks to fix gate posts with 10mm thunderbolts. The 10mm drill bit did a clean job of it with just a regular old bosch drill. I was very surprised at how neat the finished hole was and was perfect to receive the thunderbolt. I wanted to avoid an sds to eliminate any mistakes. Will not buy any other drill bits other than this for general purpose use.

Does the job
Needed to install a radiator back on the wall but using brown plugs this time.Perfect diameter, great condition, no bends or jagged edges. Will be looking for this again once this one has worn out.
