Learn, think, awaken!
This is another great read to broaden our perspectives, quench questioning attitude, and find interesting implications backed by science; all of which mesh beautifully with the more spiritual enlightenment Neal Walsh's books have given to us. I love science backing up what I and countless others have always felt, suspected, and thought. We are doubtless on in close proximity of transformation and how we feel about it and react to it will determine our path forward ad a species and as individuations of the whole. Hope this makes sense. I feel, I learn, I think... Most of all, I am me, not what or who anyone else tells me to be. I abide by the law because I believe there needs to be one. But I will never blindly accept what religion, doctors, big pharma, politics, commercialism feeds me. I am not a lemming. More people awaken and that gives me joy! This is a well written book that bears reading again in a year or so...

Two Out of Three!
Sections ONE and THREE were excellent! Section ONE reviews the science and Section THREE attempts to integrate MIND and CONSCIOUSNESS into the genetic equation. In my opinion, these are the areas where the authors shine. Dr. Tanzi is a geneticistand Dr. Chopra is a philosopher focused on the Unity of Life.Section TWO -- the practical lifestyle advice -- in my opinion was weak. As far as I know, neither of the authors and currently inprivate practice, working with a large number of patients. I found the advice too general and limited. As a clinician, I didn't think theyhad the necessary power to match the possibilities that the rest of the book makes available.Still ... an important work ... and I am glad they wrote it!

Very interesting and good information to change your lifestyle, in order to avoid illnesses, and what you eat. Worth the read.

Everyone who cares about their health needs to read this book to fully understand how much control each person actually has over their own health and well being down to the level of their DNA and micro biome. Everything we think, say, do, eat etc. affects us at the level of our genes -- DNA. Except for about 5% of genes which are fully penetrant, each person can affect the functioning of their genes through diet and life style. The book provides an easy "no brainer" approach to making 52 easy permanent changes with positive effects on health during a year. Each person chooses what they need to change and then commit to one simple, easy thing they can do each week. Each of us really is in control of our health. It's an easy read back up with lots of Science to support its content.

Get the book if you want to improve your body and mind
I heard about this book on Conan he had deepak chopra talk about it. I am not someone special by any means i put fuel in trucks for a window company thats my job. But this guy made my brain click if you have a understanding about things a average person wouldn't even think about get this book it might change your life by opening your mind because it makes sense. When i talk to my family about something similar they look at me like your nuts and half retard. But anyways i dont explain myself very well sometimes i sound like i need to go back to school I've been told. So starting on one improvement i need to quit talking about myself. Get the book

This book is very deep.
I liked it, but I did not understand a lot of it. It made nme think about being able to change myself in many interesting ways. It made me know that many genes inherited can be changed and made better. It totally went against many things I believed. I hope to read it again. I know I could understand it better than the first reading.

A Super Surprise!
I was just browsing Amazon looking for a new book to read when I stumbled across this gem. This book was able to explain the world of the human genome to me in a way that I (someone with no medical or scientific background) could easily understand. Not only did I learn a bunch of stuff and was fascinated by all of the experiments referenced in this book, but I also learned many skills and habits I could implement into my life to become healthier and overall a more rounded person. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

This book is so valuable that I have read it 3 times ... each time just to be in the company of two brilliant minds as they share information we can use to empower, enrich, energize our lives, our health, and our brains. Thank you for writing this invaluable book!!
