This slicer is useful when you need to slice vegetables extremely thinly. It can slice vegetables thinner than a knife can. However, the blade is very sharp, so you need to be careful not to cut your fingers.I slice cabbage thinly and use it in salads. Chinese product. No instructions. FAKE PRODUCT. Almost didn’t care enough to find out there was no brand name engraved on the grater. Box says “made in China”. Not sealed. Watch out people, you may receive a fake one like me. I would not use a sharp slicing product with a cheap Chinese blade.
