An Oldie but a goodie!
When I began reading the other reviews on this model, I thought this was going to be a horrible kit. When it came the next day though, it was alright. The box was a bit small and the propeller was bent but, overall, the kit was a pretty easy kit. I’m new to scale modeling but I have done a few kits before. After I completed the model, I decided to dig up more information about the model. While looking, I found the original tool date. The date this was tooled was around 1964! This kit has been given newer decals and new boxes ever since. I am aware that this is a little challenging, but if you were to look into it’s history, it might just get a little cooler.

Built it with my grandson. Very nice little kit with everything you need.
I'm a fairly accomplished modeler (I think), but I purchased this kit to build with my 8 year old grandson. We spent about 5 days working through it - I helped quite a bit but he did most of the painting (95%) and 80% of the gluing. I put on the decals for him. It was a buddy build and what I hope will be the first of many for him. This kit was great and includes sufficient detail for a more advanced modeler to enjoy it as well. I would buy another one.

Not very easy to assemble
Not very beginner friendly. My kid found it frustrating.

Great gift
It was exactly what my great nephew wanted. It was a Christmas present, abd he loved it. Glad it was available.

Not recommended for beginners.
This kit is from a very old Airfix mold dating back to the 1960's. Being a vintage kit, it features raised panel lines and rivets galore. There is no cockpit, just a seat and pilot figure. The parts have quite a bit of flash (excess plastic) that must be trimmed. Parts fit is poor and the painting instructions are vague. On the plus side, there are only 35 parts and assembly is straight forward. You'll need a hobby knife to trim parts, sand paper to clean up the edges, and clothes pegs, rubber bands, or tape to hold the parts together while the glue dries. In addition to the small pointed brush included with the set, I would also add a medium sized flat brush to paint the larger parts. In conclusion, I would not choose this set if you are just starting out or returning to the hobby as an older adult. The Spitfire or BF 109 starter sets are better choices.

Great little kit!
This is a great little kit for moderate to experienced builders. It has four colors and a brush with some cement glue. I bought some other colors for detail, but for the most part it come with everything you need. There was great detail in the kit and it gave options for the builder. All in all It was a fun build with a lot of details.

Tedious and not for beginning modelers
Although historically accurate, this model came with many production flaws, misaligned slots, and unlabeled parts. Additionally, the paints come in light, plastic jars that will tip over at a moment's notice. Finally, the model we got was obviously someone else's return, as the decals were missing and the cement had been pressed. Buy Revell; you're better off.

Old Airfix molding
This is my 3rd airfix Corsair. Doesn’t come with “gear up” parts like so many other airfix kits but that’s ok. Pretty easy, not overly detailed kit but good for a quick build. Making each of them in different schemes/markings. US Navy, Fleet Air Arm versions.
