Works great
Mounted it in a 1985 Chevy short bed step side 4x4 pickup. Accuracy seems right on. Quality is good. Installation is fairly simple as long as you follow the instructions and they are easy to follow. Good value

Stopped working
Worked for about 2 seconds then stopped reading the rpm. Lights come on needle still moves everything is hooked up properly but it doesn’t read rpm anymore. Red the entire instruction manual front to back nothing worked. Don’t buy this cheap preice of crap not worth it.

You get what you get for $40
Okay, look, folks, it's a $40 Tach, you can't expect Swiss Precision out of this thing, but having said that - The Tachometer performs EXACTLY how you would expect it to for the price range. (If you're having bouncing Tach Problems, you're having issues with the Wavelength of the Distributor, and more than likely need a Tach Adapter.)I'm going to start with the Cons first, but do note that there are going to be more Pros than Cons.Cons -Wiring Harness Wires are a tad small, I would have went with a heavier gauge wire for this. The Needle is SLIGHTLY slow (And when I say slightly, I do mean that even a tuned eye has issues spotting it, it's in the Milliseconds)Directions are easy to misinterpret but otherwise it contains all info you need.Pros -Gauge face and needle are both very bright and easily identifiedShift Light is very bright, both the Green for Stage 1 Shifts, and the Red for Stage 2 ShiftsSetting your RPM Range is very easy (once you get passed the Directions as mentioned in the Cons)Fairly accurate RPM Reading (Within the Single Digit/Double Digit Range)Overall pleasing to the eyes once installed properly. For a $40 Tach, you're going to get exactly what you paid for, but Geevorks did an excellent job with this tach, I am a satisfied customer.---So, it is now 7/28/22 and I wanted to update this review to add a couple small cons to this (TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, AS THIS MAY BE AN ISSUE WITH MY TACH ALONE)Con #1 - There are certain times where the Shift Light (The Green one) will randomly flash, I have a GM HEI Distributor, so I don't know if I'm getting some kind of interference or what, but at night time, it's quite blinding. And Con #2 - The Wires are quite small, I know this Tach doesn't require much in the way of power, but if I had one gripe to the company, it would be to beef the wiring up a bit, it's 22-24 Gauge Wiring, and I would recommend 20-18 Gauge.Other than those 2 cons, the Tachometer has held up wonderfully, and gives me a Semi-Accurate Reading. (As the title says, you get what you pay for.)

Going by ear would be more accurate than this junk.
"You get what you pay for" is being too generous. Tachometer is a complete waste of time installing. Only thing it reads accurately is idle rpm and even it randomly spikes to 2500. And forget reving the engine. You could redline at 8,000rpm and this junk might read 3,500rpm 2 seconds later.

Decent item for the price
It's not a automated. But for the price it gets the job done. Don't know how accurate it is though.
