Works great for recording toy sounds
My kid has one of those toy-review YouTube channels, and he uses this device to get clear audio off the toys he reviews, without the distortion or room noise/reverb he might get through the mic on his camera. It works great for that, fwiw!

Simple to us and works 100%l.
My memory is not what it used to be. This microphone is simply suction cupped to the back of the phone receiver and plugged into my small recorder which records the whole conversation. When I hang up, I can then play back the tape and retrieve phone numbers, addresses and appointment times and any other details in the conversation. I had one of these some years ago and it got lost. I am very glad that I have found that someone still sells them. Fantastic device for me now at my older age and older memory.

Do not buy these. They're horrible.
I've purchased several of these, thinking maybe I just got a lemon on the first ones. They're all lemons. I've tried on numerous recording devices both in mono and connected through a stereo joiner cable. One of the three microphones records only the loudest sounds if I play music from my phone and have it connected by suction cup to the phone. The recording is torture to listen to with horrible buzz and distortion. I does not pickup anything at a conversation level of sound. These microphones are a horrible product. Do not buy!

it does the job, but quietly
it does work, but will be pretty useless unless your recording device has a good amplifier in it. fun to put near electronic devices to hear them think, or to record sounds from devices where disassembly is not desired or possible

Very clear with a digital recorder. Will not attach to antique pot metal phone
The was surprised at the clarity of sound all all telephones in the house. The suction works well on a plastic phone, not a metal phone.

Decent mic
This mic would not work on our phone’s receiver due to the texture of the phone’s material. I feel the phone needs to have a very smooth surface for the suction to work. I have to use a rubber band to secure the mic to the receiver. The mic does pick up the sound and works well for the price.

Incredible bang for buck!
Works great! Suction is pretty standard, only reason I gave it 4 stars is I do know of other suction cups that have incredible strength that will work on virtually any surface, including textured and rough surfaces stuccoed & painted drywall, loose leather, etc. This just doesnt work on as wide a variety of surfaces.
