Day 1 success!!!
I'm going to keep this review updated as I just started Bladder-Q this morning! My doctor, Dr. Lonny Green, just set me up on a 3 months trial of this supplement/medication. I've been taking Cystoprotek for about 2 years now and used to swear by it. I had a really good year in 2013, but 2014 was full of "bladder infections" that were actually pain flare ups. In 2012-13 I could tell a pain flare up from a bladder infection by the intensity and change in the pain. I thought I had bladder infection 2 times this year and it turns out they weren't infections at all. So obviously my healing was taking a turn downhill. I just took my first 2 pills this morning and it's only 3pm and I already feel AMAZING. I still have pressure but honestly, I didn't expect this to work that fast. Maybe because I already had a regimen of Cystoprotek for the past few years? I really hope this is the answer because I have been able to get away with limited self medicating with OTC pain meds, ZZZquil. I'd love to not have to rely on medications other than the one I take at night time. He also told me to start physical therapy. So I plan on calling about that next week. I'll come back to update this as the 3 months continue. I hope all of you are healing and feeling wonderfully!UPDATE: I'll be starting my 5th month of Bladder-Q and I can only say wonderful things about it at this time! The bad thing is that it had a HUGE adjustment period. The first month was awful even staying strictly on the IC diet. The second month was a little better, but again many pain flare ups even though I still was staying very strict to the diet every single day for the 2 months. The third month was okay but not the best it could be. I was mostly not in pain sticking strictly to the diet. I wavered and had a tomato and had frequency and a little pain but not severe. Month four was AMAZING. The thing with this is you can only experiment. I was feeling so awesome that I thought I would have an adult beverage with prelief of course (a watered down vodka tonic seems to be the only safe thing when i was on Cystoprotek, so that's what I had and of course only one because I was scared and I"m not much of a drinker at all). I had no pain, and very little frequency. I gave it a week and then I saw a cappuccino mix at the grocery store and thought I'd give it a try since it's not a full cup of coffee but a bit of instant coffee in it. On cystoprotek, coffee was okay for a few months then i had to cut it completely out. not even 1 watered down cup. I am able to have 1-4 cups of this cappuccino mix (with prelief of course) with 0 pain and maybe a little frequency but not enough to be upset or inconvenienced by!!! So the last week of my 4th month is now, and I had some salsa verde on my burrito (prelief too) and have 0 pain. So yesterday I had 5 bad things in 1 day, which was not at all possible with the Cystoprotek!!I'm including my pain management regimen with this review so that maybe that can help someone:morning medicines: 2 bladder q, birth controlnight medications: hydroxyzine at bed, 2 bladder q with dinneremergency medications: (have not had to take any of these in 3 weeks) Alprazolam, uribel, and another one for cramping/pelvic pain that I haven't used in a bit so can't remember the name of, AZO standard for light pain/frequencyprelief with everything bad that I eatI also drink tons of water, not only am I a thirsty person, but water is very good for us IC patients.feel free to comment on my review with any questions or whatever, and good luck in your healing! I hope Bladder-Q can help you like it has me. Just remember that for 3 months it maybe hard. I've heard some people are good after the 1st month but my body is very sensitive so I think that's why it took me longer.

What a relief.......and possible bonus side effect
I got a bout of IC about a year ago that lasted for 2 weeks and went away on it's own. I didn't even know what it was then and soon forgot about it. I got hit with it again about a month and a half ago and just figured it would go away on it's own. It didn't and I ended up going in to get checked out. Doc diagnosed me and pointed me toward some lifestyle changes. I.e., no more coffee, stop with the green tea I was having every night, nothing acidic, etc. It still didn't go away on it's own. Independent research online led me here. Literally the day after I started taking these I was feeling a lot closer to normal again. At least I could get through a whole day at work without having to loosen or completely unclasp my belt in my office for relief from the pressure on my bladder and that says a lot as I'm a fairly thin framed guy and don't have a gut so to speak which one might think would would created added pressure.I've since added Aloe capsules, Prelief, marshmallow root and some oil of oregano. I'm feeling better every day and feel pretty confident I can get past the IC for good. Interesting side effect, I work out almost every morning on the eliptical and have for many years. Ever since I've started this supplement routine I'm able to get through my normal workout with far less effort and have had to increase my speed and the machine's resistance in order to feel as though I'm getting the same level of workout as before. If this side effect is actually caused by any of these supplements, it is likely due to either the bladder pills or the Aloe capsules as these were the first two I started together and the effects on the eliptical were immediate and happened before I added the marshmello root or the oil of oregano. I can't say scientifically that either of these are improving my performance but it sure is a helluva coincidence. I have since read that Aloe is used to help asthma patients unclog the airways from pollutants like smoke, pollen, etc. Although I'm not an asthma patient I suppose it's not unreasonable to assume I'm seeing some kind of benefit from those same properties. Either way, I'll take it. I guess I'd have to stop taking them, exercise, take them again, exercise, and repeat a few times to get a definitive answer but for now I'm on them for the IC so we'll see what happens down the road.**EDIT** I've since discovered that L-arginine, found in Bladder-Q, can be purchased as a stand alone dietary supplement to increase performance.

BLADDER Q HAS GIVEN ME FREEDOM TO TRAVEL AND TO BE PAIN-FREE AT ALL TIMES
I have had Interstitial Cystitis for about 8 years. When I first got my diagnosis, I was in agony....severe pain, and I am no baby when it comes to gutting things out; but I honestly did not think I could stand it any longer. My G.P. kept telling me I did not have a "bladder infection", but after 2 or 3 visits to him, he finally referred me to a Urologist. I did take Elmiron, which helped some..had medicine infused directly into my bladder, etc. But every time I would have a cocktail or a glass of wine, BOOM...immediate flare-up. I'm no heavy drinker....rarely ever have a cocktail except when I'm on vacation. Every time I went on vacation and tried even just a few sips of an alcoholic beverage, instantly had pain and had to see a doctor. My urologist finally starting giving me a standing order of Ciproflaxin to take along on trips "just in case". Once I discovered Bladder Q, about a year ago, I have not had ANY flare-ups of the I.C. at all. Completely pain-free. I do also drink a lot of water or herbal tea...never any carbonated sodas, EVER. But my husband and I just returned from a week's cruise, and I enjoyed one cocktail each afternoon; plus a glass of wine on 3 or 4 of the evenings. No problem. Bladder Q is one of my "must haves" when I travel; but I take it regularly at home, and I swear by it. I also have recommended it to several of my friends who suffer from either I.C. or chronic bladder infections. It's not cheap...but it's totally worth every penny!!
