Small and Easy to Use
I like these controller a lot. They require very little setup in the LED Hue app and use Bluetooth. And their size is perfect to install into the 3D prints I am lighting.

Always works perfectly! Connection is a really easy set-up but sometime has issues with setting it up with the phone. But I’m still really happy. And oh yes it’s very bright and I have bought these over 50 times or more.

Limited function in the app, but good for most applications
works great for what it is. note of caution. this unit will accept 5 or 12 volts input. make sure you match your power supply to the LEDs you are using. (this is a good thing, but be aware)the reason it loses a star is because the app it all pre determined. there is no function to address LEDs specifically. so if you want the first 20 to be red and the next 20 to be blue, this isnt the device you want. go back to using a pi board to control the lights.otherwise, Im satisfied

woRKES GOOD. The LED HUE app is the only one which is truly dream color or a million different shades.

Faulty LED addressing
The media could not be loaded. I have some SK6812 LEDs they’re a meter long with 30 LEDs on them and I set up those settings in the app accordingly. I also checked the voltage across the LEDs at the end of the strip since they weren’t turning on all of the time and the voltage was 4.8V. I tried different led strips incase mine were damaged and tried all 4 led drivers given in this product incase there was one faulty one.When I change to a solid color, the bottom LEDs will light up that color instantly the top LEDs don’t light up typically, the middle ones stay the previous color and then the new color will lag behind and light up a few more middle LEDs 5 seconds later.As you can see in the video any kind of chasing led effect is a mess.

Excellent little controller
I purchased this as a test controller to use while building ws2812b displays. Once the display is built I will replace it with my own controller. Turns out it works well enough that for some projects I will use it as the main controller! The app is easy to use as well.
