Love this cologne!!!

I have used this ORIGINAL Gentleman fragrance since 1974. This a lighter version, but even better than the original. It has an elegant scent and the patchouli is a classic. It has great longevity and smells great after 8 hours.

While in London, I noted the fragrance of a close friend. (Do guys ask each other what that cologne is they’re wearing…? - oh well). So he told me and showed me. Bought some and had too many compliments, so I used it more sparingly. Didn’t stop the compliments. Figured “oh well, guess I’ll just have to live with it.” Not every person can wear the same fragrances, as it seems to change from person to person. This cologne works for me and I will not change. So try it and see if it fits your chemistry. NOTE: It might cost more, but it lasts along time; a long time on your body, and a long time in the bottle. Thanks Givenchy!

I use to wear this in the 70's and loved it. . Fragrance is the same, but for some reason this fragrance didn't last long when applied.

I used the original 1974 version from 1978 until the formula was altered. This version's initial spray was familiar, but within a minute, a powdery scent emerged, fortunately a note entirely absent from the original.The name is the only similarity.

It’s a classic for a reason…. It’s a fresh and bright take on a patchouli heavy scent and it’s perfect for any mature man. It’s more of a dressed up or polo shirt fragrance and is signature scent worthy as it’s something that could be worn year round in my opinion. Out of all of my collection which consists mostly of designer and niche fragrances it’s one of my cheapest, and definitely in my top ten. It projects extremely well and is a beast mode fragrance lasting well over 8 hrs.It’s also worth noting that this is the original Givenchy Gentleman, not Gentleman Givenchy. I haven’t tried the latter but I’ve been told it’s actually a reformulation and therefore a different fragrance from this one.

I really enjoy the smell - maybe not for everyone.

I received my order today, immediately opened the box to the paper out, popped out the bottle of cologne, sprayed it on my arm, what on with my business of the day. Five hours later, the dentist is still there.. Well, I buy it again absolutely. Will I buy it from Amazon? Absolutely.
