As a lifelong Jordan fan and an action figure fan for a few years, I’d been hoping for a Jordan in 1/12 scale figure form. This is an excellent albeit flawed attempt. The sculpting and likeness are great. My favorite part is the shoes, they really made sure to sculpt all the details of the Olympic Jordan 7s. There are two heads and plenty of hands, as well as a basketball with a peg hole for the holding hands and one basketball without a peg hole. The articulation is excellent. However, the joints on the figure are somewhat loose, as with all mafex figures. It’s annoying because certain poses look great, but the figure will eventually fall over. I have to use the stand for some basic dribbling poses. It’s a plus that they included a stand, but I’d rather not use it. My only other gripe is the jersey and shorts. They are fabric but they have some sort of wiring or stiff material in the shoulders and armpits to hold the shape. It’s really hard to tuck the jersey in a way that looks true to life. It came tucked in and kind of folded on the sides and it’s almost impossible to adjust it. In most poses the clothing looks frumpy. Since it’s so small it doesn’t fold and move like a real jersey would. I almost would rather have the jersey/shorts sculpted but not quite. If they just tweak the clothing and use a more stretchy fabric that can be adjusted and fits closer it may work out better. Wouldn’t be an easy task. With more sturdy joints and a few minor tweaks to the jersey and shorts, this could be an all-time great action figure worthy of MJs likeness. Considering the price, it’s good but a little to expensive for the final product.
