BriskHeat HSTAT051010 XtremeFLEX HSTAT Silicone Rubber Heating Tape With Adjustable Thermostat Controller, W x L: 0.5 x 120-Inch, 120VAC

Thermostat seems really touchy. The most minimal adjustment can go from burning hot to not warm enough. No idea why it needs to go to 450°. On my third one and they all seem to be the same.

I ordered this product in June14 2021. I used it as per the instructions suggested by the manufacture. 1-It never reaches the max temperature they advertise. 2- The thermostat burned 3 months later with moderate use. 3- When I called the manufacture, they did not care the product was register and refused to acknowledge warrantee. 5- Customer service blamed my application which is utterly irrelevant since I have followed the instructions carefully. 6- The manufacture refused to repair the heating belt even though I offered to pay for the repair. 7- The manufacture refused to receive the product to inspect and if I insisted on inspection, they will have to charge me a lot of money for inspection.I totally advise against this product and due to the don't care attitude of customer service, I will be careful buying any production of this company. I deserve a full refund.

This tape was installed on a 1/4in stainless steel line and initial temperature was set using IR thermometer at 105. Temperature was rechecked 3 hours later and was still good. After 5-6 days the area had burnt smell and found this tape gets too hot and burned the outer layer. I cannot return it because it expired 3 days ago.

Works fine for what we need.
